In Scene Edit/Processing view expand the Mutes Levels and Assignments> input channel mixer>Sends and Routing and then add just the channels you want to your scene.

Yes! Dual Mix rack mode is **** as the second mix rack always appears from channels 65 and up…
xDRs are awesome as they behave really nicely
make much more sense…

Hi all, I would like to make a feature suggestion. The ability to make an iDR boot in xDR mode.
iDR-16 becomes an xDR-16
iDR-32 becomes an xDR-32
iDR-48 becomes an xDR-48
This would be awesome!

It’s the cmos backup battery. Had the Same problem!
White screen and afther several powercycles came back to live.
But in the end the White screen stayed
If You search the forum there are some topics About that.

Yes indeed – there is a big difference – a $100 switch could potentially fail and ruin your gig, an $1800 enterprise class managed switch could possibly fail and ruin your gig. The difference is $1700 and a false sense of security HaHaHa!! [

Midi isn’t a great workaround for scene fades as it would require additional midi hardware that still can’t recall enought other scene info to be the sole scene manager, so you still need to run ilive scenes as well and then you have to manage two cue lists and separate the parameters that each system will recall. Even just inserting a scene would require editing both the iLive scene and the Midi cue list. As you cant easily (quickly) store a CUSTOM parameter scene in the iLive without first storing dummy edited scenes you would need to move or copy a previously edited scene or re edit the stored parameters, then go and edit your midi cue list etc. Yes it can be done – would it be practical to use? Perhaps … If you have a long running consistant production and LOTS of programming time! For me the poor scene manager and lack of scene fades are my biggest wishes for improvement on the iLive!

Hey.
I have been looking and looking and can’t seem to find a way of locking making it in the user profiles so that someone without the full rights can not change the input patch on the console.
The output patch can be locked but it doesnt seem the input can.
Has anyone found a way of doing this or have a work around for it????

Hmmm – Thanks for this heads up – I am also just about to spec a QU-16 and AR rack for an installation so I am also keen to know the answer to this question. Also the QU mix app release time frame and other features listed but not yet supported???

I use Sommer Cables SC-Monocat 212 and it is great (50 m). https://www.sommercable.com/3__produkte/3__030_meterware/3__500_0171_2.html Has power, 2 x shielded cat 6 (Ace,Dante), 2 x shielded twisted pair (use for audio, comms, Dmx etc). Very rugged outer casing and compact for the number of cables contained.
No problems at all with 50m length – has anyone else tried this cable with a longer run?

You have to close Editor and re open with the new surface config. Then reload your saved show to see the changes. The main changes will be your channel strip layouts on the different surface.

Can anyone tell me if the QU16 will be useful as a midi controller for ilive editor? We have two R72 surfaces and two IDR32 mixracks, but often we just want to run a PC with Editor and a BCF2000 midi controller as our interface. If the QU16 can be used to replaced the BCF2000 we would definitely be interested in purchasing a couple of them.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

just in-case anyone missed it… this mixer needs groups!
as a minimum, we just need to be able to route the mix buses to the L/R bus and we should be all good to go!
This feature is 100000000000000% essential and if not added the mixer should just be ‘binned’ immediately!
PS. how far away is the new firmware?
