    Hi Byondo

Please contact A&H technical support in the UK, yes you will need to open a support ticket. Please use the link i provided previously.

To copy the event logs go to Setup select the tab Utility – Diagnostics, then put a USB key into either of the ports on the surface and press the ‘Copy logs to USB’ button in the bottom left of the screen. Please then attach the file to the support ticket.
The log file will be located on the USB key in :AllenHeathGLDEventLogs

    Hi Koopdaddy

Scenes are stored within shows, So if you store a show and copy that to USB then when you recall the show on another desk all your scenes will be available.

    Hope that helps

    Hi Byondo

    This is interesting.

Can you please contact A&H technical Support and describe with as much detail as possible what you were doing leading up to this problem starting, exactly what happened during the problem and how the desk recovered.
What type of USB key you were using?
Please also include a copy of the event logs.
and any other details you can think of.

1- It’s possible to mute groups? I can’t find the way, is very important to me, I prefer not to DCA.

If you SEL a DCA there is a button called ‘DCA fader to zero dB’ this makes the DCA fader level inactive so that you have very similar to a mute group.

Colin you can do small input mute groups with gangs though you are always limited to 8 channels per gang and you will not be able to put both inputs and mixes into the same gang.

    Hi Kent

The Speaker Matrix Processor produces 3, 4 and 5 output speaker stack options from stereo LR programme. This enables LR Mixes to be distributed to FOH across different stages widths.

The answer to your question: The speaker matrix LCR does work differently from the standard LCR main mix option, the speaker matrix uses phase alteration to keep a balanced stereo field across a wide stage.

Please see the link below for more information on the iLive FX.

    Hi Robi

The dSnake protocol is complient with standard Ethernet equipment, therefore you can use a switch with dSnake.

What is the purpose you would like to use the switch for?

if the switch is unmanaged then only 1 point to point link can be actively connected at one time.

If you wish to have other data on the same switch as dSnake then you must put the dSnake data in its own VLAN so that it is isolated from the other data being carried through the switch. Also some protocols such as Spanning tree must be turned off.

If it is to extend the length over 120m then this is also possible with a switch every 100meters, or media converter to fiber.

There will be more information available about dSnake to come in the future.

    Hi Ray

Yes i’m afraid this is a limitation of using the MMO module in the surface PortB.

As gil has pointed out the best way would be to fit the Digital Multi output module to either your surface or mixrack to access the Aviom channels.

    Hi Paul

If you are using the Safari browser, you may find it un-zips the Firmware upon download. If so, you need to click on Safari Preferences, select the General tab, and un-tick ‘Open “safe” files after downloading’. Then download the file again. The file must remain zipped for iLive Editor firmware update to work.

    Hope that helps

    Hi Ryan

Currently there is not an option for Previous and next scene recall on softkeys, though this is on the feature request list.

Currently there is not the option to delete Cue list’s we are aware of this and this will be fixed in future firmware.

    Hi TJ

Thanks for the feedback, we are currently aware of an issue with the tap tempo becoming unlinked with the Softkey assign.

This should be fixed for the next next release of firmware.

Sam, I contacted American Music and Sound by phone, should I be going through https://allen-heath.helpserve.com/ instead?

Your first port of call should be America Music And Sound as they are the US distributor for A&H and deal with all technical support in the US. If the problem is unable to be resolved by AM&S then they will be in direct contact with A&H UK to help resolve the issue asap.

    Hi Peter

i’m afraid you cannot currently conrol Aux Send levels via TCP/IP control, only the master aux levels. This is on the feature request list for future firmware.

    Hi Ryan

    quote:

I would love to have it so that I could send it out on a job and have it start up and ask any user to log on with thier password or no password at all that way I don’t have to give out the Admin password to turn it on. It kind of negates the usefullness of having permissions if anyone that can turn on the console can do what ever they want to it.

This is already possible, you can set up to 10 different user profiles with GLD. go to setup – Config tab – user profiles:
Here you can activate/deactivate the profiles, change each users permissions and set passwords for the users.

You could setup a user profile with only the controls you wish users to have and give them a set password to use. Then set your own password for the admin account so they are locked out from accessing everything.

    Hi Claroque

Sam, still be nice to know if there is a cause or warning sign (if possible). This is a very scary issue. faders going full can be very bad (as everyone is aware)….

We have had very few reports of any problems regarding random moving faders. The cause is most likely to be a result of a hardware fault with 1 of the faders, fader board PSU.
Contacting your local dealer or A&H technical support is be the best way to help resolve any issue as quickly as possible.
