Patience is running low. I now officially think that Dante is a myth and the iPad app MIGHT be out by Christmas. An official statement by A&H on a time-line for both products would be greatly appreciated.

Shortly after posting the issue I was having, I found the cause of the headache. The console plus the mixrack are given 3 factory IP addresses: 192.168.1.1 , 192.168.1.2 & 192.168.1.3 . This can be a little confusing because the console will only show the first two addresses on one of the network screens. The third address, in my case, was for the on-board touchscreen… If you are running two consoles & mixracks on a single network, the second consoles address need to run 192.168.1.4 – 192.168.1.6 so that both consoles and mixracks will appear on the network… When addressing the router, it is important to clear the address that are already used on the network (192.168.1.1 – 192.168.1.6) by addressing the router AT LEAST one digit above (ex. 192.168.1.7). If their are no other network devices on your network, go ahead and start the router 10 digits higher for a safety blanket… Originally, my router was fighting with the surface and causing signal drop… (These steps should also help users who are running dual surfaces and racks who cannot see the second console on the network due to IP conflicts.) After reconfiguring all IP addresses, I have not had a single issue. I hope this helps.

    Jeff,

Are there any latency issues that will arise by going over switched ethernet?

    Sam,

I have two T112’s. Can I buy replacement LED backlit screens or am I doomed to building cardboard houses around the screen to kill glare?

How would you edit the PDF on a Mac?

We currently run LCR Sub on 90% of our shows. We have to dial every input into the center channel. In normal operation, the pan knob does its normal job, panning the channel left and right. When the rotary shift button is held down, you should have control of dialing that input into the center panel. The rotary shift just bounces you in-between the pan functions. Your subs should be acting as an AUX send and you will dial in channels just like a normal AUX. Select MIX on the AUX send, the faders will bottom out and you can now bring up that input into the sub send.

I agree with you, but it is very nice being able to ring out monitors with one guy and an iPhone [:D]

We had two custom console cases built by Opti-Case for our T112’s. They are similar to the R&R cases for the M7CL that have the wood wrapping the sides (https://www.rrcases.com/consoleyamaham7cl.htm) except for the doghouse which sits flush with the top of the desk. We had ours constructed with two side-by-side 2-space racks below the front of the desk for power conditioner, CD player, Clear-Com station, etc.

The IDR-48 MixRack was also a custom build job by Opti-Case. It consists of a 12-space rack/trunk combo to fit the MixRack, twist-lock power inlet and power conditioner. The snake comes out of the front of the rack down and back to the 30″ trunk for storage. These are very handy to use as a table for monitor world when both MixRacks are being used.

I will post photos when I get a chance to pop the lid on one of the consoles.

Does anyone have pictures of how Tweak looks on their iPad? All I have seen is the iPhone screen shots. Also, I would like to be able to select what features are associated with the inputs. Delay would have been the last feature I would have used.

Negative. Remember that the brains of the iLive system are located in the mixrack. Lets say you want two computers yet you only have 1 CPU and 2 screens. Connecting both screens to the same CPU doesn’t give you two computers. You have to have the second rack to run your monitor desk. The editor/surface combination will work because all you have done is made a replica of the one console. You have taken the same IP address and mirrored it. You can do this all day long daisy-chaining consoles to your hearts desire because once again, you are mirroring the other console. As it sits right now, linking mixracks together is the only way to run two surfaces. Look on the bright side, now you have an extra 32 or 48 channels at your fingertips. :-)

Does anyone happen to know a list price on the Ethersound card? I would like to wait for the Dante Card but the show is in two weeks.

I am experiencing 5 second audio dropouts when the the router is plugged into the mixrack. The CAT5 cable is plugged into the network port. The ACE Error LED does not light up. The IP address of the router is 192.168.1.254 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. DHCP server is enabled with 50 DHCP users open starting at 192.168.1.100.

When the CAT5 is unplugged, there are no more five second signal drops. The problem occurs even when the router is connected to the mixrack and the editor is not running. Also, I am talking about audio signal and not WiFi signal.

For me, I know that I would like a condensed version of editor. Pretty much the same layout that appears on the standard editor but in a form where pages could be accessed quickly on the fly. Maybe an external interface that could attach to the iPad with a single moto-fader, rotary knob and a few soft keys? :-)

Put the save to USB key on the same page as the scenes page.
