Hi all, I’d like to preface this by saying this is all hypothetical for a uni project. I do not currently own any equipment which has made researching this a bit of a struggle.

I am designing a full system for a gig and have chosen the SQ6 as desk of choice with 2 DX168s as stage boxes. My question is, is it possible to run a redundant connection to a DX hub and hence stage boxes.
As far as I can tell, you need the SLink expander Card which would go into a secondary DX Hub and into redundant connections on the stage boxes. However I’m not sure if that is possible to configure the desk to switch in case of a failure. Would this work, and if not, how would I go about it?

    Thanks for any help!

From page 5 of the DX System Guide:

“SQ and AHM don’t support DX redundancy.”

No problem, it’s all good. I’m here to help where I can and learn new things whenever possible.
