Still waiting. According to USPS, they should be arriving Monday. We’ll see.

Any fader knob designed for the A&H GL series will work. I was going to get some from Full Compass, but found a company from Germany on ebay that sells them MUCH cheaper. They should be arriving any day. I’ll let you all know what I think when they get here.
I haven’t researched rotary knobs yet.

Glaser Audio Productions2016/11/24 at 2:30 pm #59499I never do a gig anymore without my UPS.
Not only avoids unplanned shut downs, it also helps to keep the power constant and clean.
For me, it is WAY worth the price and having to cart around another piece of gear.
2016/09/21 at 11:53 pm #58329I use console tape and a felt tip maker. It’s worked for me for years. I haven’t seen an alternative that looks like it would work any better for me.

Not Qu related, but I have the Frontier Tranzport working on SONAR 2016(latest update) on a Windows 7 DAW. I just installed the same drivers I was using before Win 7.
It does “go stupid” occasionally, where it doesn’t recognize SONAR. I’ve found if I shut down SONAR AND my DAW computer, it seems to work again when I fire things back up. I have yet to figure out why.
Best,

Glaser Audio Produtions2016/09/02 at 5:02 pm #57968I have 2 of the A&H lamps for my Qu32. Really like the dimming feature. Don’t have that with the lamp on my GL mixer. Wasn’t sure I’d use it, but I do.
2016/09/01 at 1:22 pm #57917I took the survey. Figure it’s a good way for Allen & Heath to get an idea of what features we like/dislike/don’t care about and what we want to see them implement. There might be some great new features coming, we’ll see.
Thanks A&H for seeking out our ideas and thoughts.
2016/08/26 at 12:25 pm #57827The faders are easy enough to swap out. I robbed different colored faders from an old GL2 mixer and customize my Qu32 for each show. Pretty slick!
Here’s a picture from an earlier gig. I’ve also found these to be available online.

If you’re willing and able to wait until A&H comes out with their Windows DAW Control Alrod, that’s all well and good. But others like Andreas and myself have made the decision to come up with another solution (that works) in the mean while. When/if A&H come out with their Windows DAW Control, we will more than likely graduate to that. Assuming it works properly, of course!
2016/05/15 at 12:32 pm #55753Yeah, not much info in the email from A&H. I checked here and their website, but didn’t see any mention of the firmware update.
Anyone else have any more information?

2016/04/01 at 5:35 am #54877Thank you guys! Much appreciated.
It was a very long and tiring day (15 hours, almost non-stop), but I have to say, I’m blown away by how easy the QU-32 is to use. I truly didn’t expect it to come together as easily as it did.
I had done my homework ahead of time. I spent several hours going through the manual and learning as much as I could without being at an actual gig. I’d set up everything I could think of for this show, so once I had the rig set up and sat down to the mixer, there wasn’t too much to change. I only had to consult the manual once. Have to say, I impressed myself! lol
Mixing on this desk is such a pleasure! Everything I need right there at my fingertips. Graphic EQ for FOH and both monitor mixes, compression on each channel. All these came in quite handy today. It really is a breeze!
I used the custom layer, so that saved me from having to switch layers. That’s one of the reasons I choose A & H QU. When I’m running sound at theatrical/musical type gigs where I have characters on and off stage almost constantly, I don’t have time to be switching layers. I assigned the first 24 faders to the 24 wireless systems, a couple of wired mics off stage to 25 and 26. 29 is DCA for all wireless mics, 31 is DCA for both monitor mixes and 32 was L/R for the music track source. Everything right there. Easy Peasy!!
Thanks to all of the members here who have contributed such great information! It helped me to choose this mixer AND helped me to prepare for my first gig with it.
Looking forward to rehearsal tomorrow (Friday) and shows on Saturday and Sunday.
And after all that, …. the best part about today, …… I picked up another gig!!

Studio 522016/03/29 at 12:37 pm #54818Yeah, I was hoping the same. We’ll continue to keep an eye on You Tube, just in case! lol

I just found new videos about the QU mixers on YouTube by GLB Productions. Three in the series so far. Entertaining and informative.

Studio 522016/03/29 at 2:08 am #54806As I understand, the only differences in the chrome version is the chrome knobs and faders and the update in firmware.
I updated my non-chrome QU-32 recently to firmware version 1.82 and everything seems to be working fine.
