– Try Waves Tracks Live (https://www.waves.com/mixers-racks/tracks-live#presenting-tracks-live)
– disengange WiFi (they sometimes share the same USB Bus inside the Laptop)
– shut down all other Programms
– Do you have an SSD in your Laptop?2020/04/13 at 1:09 pm #90955With Firmware 1.5 you can switch USB B and SQ Drive to 48kHz allowing 32 channels of recorded glory. And if we can trust Keith, 1.5 is right around the corner.
I bought me a SQ Waves card and record up to 48 channels without any troubles in WaveTrack Live on a 2010 13inch MacBook Pro 2,4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
2020/04/07 at 9:22 pm #90838You can use 48kHz on USB-B AND Q-DRIVE, IIRC. I´m pretty sure. Yes, you can!

I AM FLABBERGASTED2020/03/26 at 9:45 am #90501Hi pmazzetto,
for oscillator/signal generator look here:
Cheers!
2020/03/26 at 9:40 am #90500Yes, that would be nice. As workaround I am sending a channel to a group and insert there one of dynamic trio addons.

I had the same crash a while ago. It was due to a too slow WiFi Router, a very cheap model. I then bought a much more potent dual band Router (120€). Using mostly the 5GHz band. After that, I had no more crashes…
Hope that helps.
Cheers2020/02/11 at 11:46 pm #89498Hi Jephsound,
that´s why I insert it most of the times in a group…
Cheers!

André2019/12/19 at 4:30 pm #88344Well, @KeithJ A&H, that summs up my opinion quit nicely!
But the temptation to go down the Waves route is strong in me. I can feel it clearly . I´d really like to have more addons (They shall never be called plugins again). I have the waves card. BUT will there be more addons ever? Or can I spend my money on waves plugins, without regretting it, because in 2 Month (around NAMM) there won´t be any new addons?
Warm regards,
André2019/12/18 at 11:43 pm #88319Hi Ian,
I kind of agree with your post: More and cheaper addons would be great.
But there are some things that add to the costs of the wave plugins:
The SQ Multiband is $89. You don´t need anything else.
Waves C6 (I love that sucker. And R-Bass!) is $44, BUT to proper use it (with low latency) live you need
a Computer/Laptop (most of us have, but still),
a Waves Card: $559
a Gigabit Switch $45,90
Waves MultiRack $373,- or LiveProfessor (haven´t tried yet)
a WavesServer: $795 (if you take the cheapest SG Mobile Server)
Makes $1772,90 + C6If you see it that way, the SQ Addons are not that badly priced.
But I´m glad if you could show me I´m wrong.I have a wavescard myself. Mainly to record 48 Channels in 48kHz via Ethernet. I was thinking about getting a server, Multirack, etc, but Xtra cost for all that stuff holds me back. And I actually don´t wanna toss more equipment around. And I only have one MacBook that I´m using for recording. If I´d want to run I would need a second Laptop or am I wrong?
Warm regards,
André2019/12/09 at 1:02 pm #88156Hi Nicole,
did that already on Sunday.
Cheers.
2019/11/30 at 4:00 pm #87990I´m not on my SQ right now, but i should be something like this:
first you must ensure in the I/O section the “SQ-Drive” is the USB source, not USB B.
Still on that same page use the TieLines Tab to the left of the screen. Then choose Slink (provided you use the Slink port for your stagebox) also on the left side.
In the upper row you can choose the output. There Local, SLink,…and USB. You tab on “USB” tab and route your signals.
Please remember, this is from memory. Don´t be mad at me if it´s wrong. But maybe it helps guiding you in the right direction.
Cheers
