that´s unfair, it´s another league…The A&H has to raise the price
The LS9 comparisation comes naturally because you can get a iDR32 + T80 surface for roughly the same price…

Yeah, what about a PEQ option? Instead of the GEQ I would like to have a 6 or 8 band PEQ, that should be do-able, shouldn’t it?
Basically I have no use for a GEQ in a digital desk…Christian Tepfer

Originally posted by robcIf i understand right, you want sel to auto cancel after a time period.
Some nonitor engineers will find that really scary. They sometimes just want to park on a channel and have instant access, not worry about if it might auto cancel.
Making it a mode may work – but then it gets compex maybe for new users to know whats going on.worth thinking about more though as a mode ?
Definitely worth a thought imho, not only for monitor work.

Originally posted by StixChristian – the only bit of outboard gear I take with the iLive other than a Tascam SS-CDR1 player/recorder – is a cheap (Ahh-Hmm)Behringer FBQ2496 feedback eliminator which I insert at the surface and use as 2 x 20 band PEQ’s. Works for me and is also useful to insert on a couple of monitor sends for feedback protection. They work well but I guess something built in would be even better!
Cheers
RichardWe even have some EQ gear in the shop but no I/O available on the surface. (T80 maxed out with CD/2xPC/Video mostly)
Basically I’m down to what the console brings to the table. EQ-wise the 01V96 VCM wins at the moment, frankly. iLive beats it in every other aspect though…Christian Tepfer
Hamburg, Germany2009/06/10 at 8:29 pm #24361Did anybody mention a tap key?
And while I’m at it, some more tap tracking methods.
Like 4th, 8th, triplets of that etc. You get the picture I think…Christian Tepfer
Hamburg, Germany2009/05/22 at 6:38 pm #24331Just press “SEL” on the channel you want to see and a window pops up with the overview and tabs for the processing stages.
You can select “single” or “multi” on the left side whether you prefer just one popup or multiple windows.

Hamburg, Germany2009/04/08 at 9:15 am #24149Just one more:
Metering is sometimes not sensible enough. That may apply to a lav. channel I want to check (mic still on?). So I could use some -10db more on the bottom side of the metering.
Regarding the EQ, this is a real problem at the moment when doing corporate shows.
I tend to ring out microphones with the PEQ, using 6-8 bands of EQ.
When I use a group I have 8 bands of PEQ (channel plus group) but limited frequency frames.
GEQ is not helpful as the frequencies I want to notch out are rarely on the GEQ grid.
Same goes for output. So either an insert PEQ (with high Q possible) or the GEQ switchable to 6 or more bands of PEQ would be nice.

Hamburg, Germany2009/03/21 at 10:57 am #24263Hello Carey,
The rentals page is a good start, when the user base gets broader it has to be searchable locally to be of improved use.
The ideal picture in my mind would be a google maps-like interface with all iLive owners highlighted. So I just have to input my location and quickly see what may be available nearby.
A transitional version could list providers by country and region/zip code.

Hamburg, Germany2009/03/05 at 6:47 pm #24231I would like to have a 6 band full parametric EQ (without frequency restrictions) in the FX section for corporate events / speech microphones.
Mix EQ should have a low cut up to 400 Hz like input channels. (would be solved by an insert EQ)I’d like to have compressors and limiters post mix fader to make mixes safe.
