I have made inserts assignments on group buses, then i have changed mix bus configuration i needed more aux buses than group and got rid of some group buses in mixer configuration but the assignments were not automatically unassigned from groups…
so i got the situation when i have no groups in the show but some Dante inputs and outputs are still assigned to groups and its impossible to change them. so i had this problem to reload back the groups and unassigned them.
i think that assignments have automatically be reset ted then you changing mix configuration.

Hi LV what cables you are using for dante? i had such problems when used regular cat5 cables when i have changed to shielded cat6 with Harting connectors everything fixed up.

L2 has 64 samples latency anyway + 40 samples latency of soungrid server what about that? Anyway i have MAXBCL and it has 225 samples latency from analog in to analog out, but it is approved tool for use in live applications…
8-10 ms is about 3.5 meters and its ok for live FOH applications, for monitors use only iLIVE

Soon as audinate will release PCE-E card the WAVES Sound grid card will be useless!!!!! I am running right now Waves Multirack with Dante and have latency enough to work live! NO PROBLEM WITH LATENCY!!! Waves card uses same probably the same protocol or very similar as DANTE to deliver packet ed audio in network and they use 3-rd party servers as number crunchers it means that no dedicated hardware was made only coded packets! (you can do the same with DANTE!!!!) , main difference DANTE is open for everybody for multi purpose connections! no limits, digital splinters, recording options,audio processing and much more… WAVES just trying to make some extra money for limited options (dont forget this is Israeli company)
DANTE is real replacement for analog connections.

SOME news from Live shows with 3d p-ty plugins!
For last week i had 4 live gigs with all band members (we are touring with 14 musicians on the stage)
i have plugged my MacBook with 50m cat5 cable, editor run on same cable, monitor engineer uses another MacBook w/editor wifi router plugged to same network.
The stages about 15x10m some of them were open air.
I’ve used: iTunes to play some loops for the show dante chanels 1&2
Wawes Multirack 96buffersize, dante chanels 3&4, with L3 on the drum group insert works very good!
dante chanel 5 with L2 on the bass!
dante chanel 6 with GTR rack on the guitar! amzing:)

you have missed the main thing! the moment when you placed PC on the stage you have the monitor console! just teach your monitor engineer to use editor.

if you have no clock setting on the dante device, so it means that it does not uploaded right in the dante network, so go to DEVICE(or command D)/ browse from the list your device /config/ then make changes that you need, then reload device.
then device should appear with all parameters changeable:)

Yea i had the same feedback on scene change! i had some channels on recall save all other channels muted, the feedback was about less than 1 second, i think it happens due to very very very long scene loading time!!!!, the scenes were almost identical but there was some changes in pre amp and pad settings, probably iLive makes the pad , pre amp & patch settings to slow ..

yes I have tested Madi of course.
But i had some problems because of my PC (windows based system + 2x RME HDSP Madi cards) i have used it always for multitrack recording (with Nuendo) 2,63 ghz dual core Intel 4 gig ram.
With Waves Multirack the buffer size setting 32 samples: I’ve got no glitches and cracks but very unstable system… it worked ok for less than a minute and suddenly made very long delay about 1 sec! with some repeats
The same result on buffer size 65, 96, on 128 little bit better, the delay effect appeared after 3 or 5 minutes ..
at this point a have ended my experiments with Madi.
Dante worked & working much more stable, and somehow it has less delay over all setup than Madi (this is my personal impression)

1+ for multiband comp!!! in iLIVE! , the C4 & C6 works fine with Dante, i think it will work ok on the deep stage about 4 or 5m, for better results you need to calculate exactly delay on this plugin, convert to meters then setup the Drum kit in that distance from FOH, probably it should work:)
