What about a traditional hearing aid loop, they’ve been around for ages?
Unless you don’t have a fixed location for your services, it’s probably the easiest way to provide sound to hearing aids.
Roy has it pretty much summed up. I do like the reverbs better on the CQ though.
The fact it’s a lot smaller and lighter is useful in certain circumstances too.
Qu-sb with an AR or AB extension rack would do it. Just wondering why they all need to be stereo? Forgive me I’ve come from simpler times and worked with pop and rock bands most of my career!š
I’ve yet to do it to my CQ but I used a cut down iPad screen protector on a series of qupacs and they worked perfectly.
Tried to edit – should read:
Both apps run on my Flip 5, Android ver13.
It runs on my Samsung Z Flip 5.
I always softkey “mute all” before I switch it off then it resumes in that stateš
Any muted faders show up as red in the fader banks already if I’m not mistaken?
@Deco.
You should have bought a QU-PAC!š
Maybe it’s different on the CQ12 as you’re changing from XLR to combo socket or maybe that they’re located quite far apart on the surface?
Are linkable 6&7 ok??
Mixing station has iDCA feature already if you can’t wait for A&H to add it. It works great and you can add pseudo mute groups too. Very handy!
I donāt think this āinsertsā like you mean, one FX per insert point?
An Fx engine can be added to any/all inputs to varying degrees, depending on your channel send to that fx.
You can then send the fx master send to multiple outputs/mixes – you just have to add the fx return to the outputs you choose.
Eg.
Ch1 sent to Fx1.
Fx1 returns to LR and mix outputs at independent (master send) levels.
Any channels sending to fx1 will be heard in the fx1 return.
You donāt have any way of changing your inputs fx balance per send – you just get a summed output per master send.
Hope Iāve explained this properly!š
I use a cheap dual foot switch I bought from Amazon for fx mute and tap tempo – I just use the lights on the soft keys as status indicators:)
The unit works with momentary or latching switches or a mixture of both. Momentary def better for tap tempo!š
Sounds weird!
Confirm what source is selected for the headphones output – check it isnāt allocated to maybe a mono channel of a stereo mix rather than LR?
Mine is pretty loud but definitely cranked up more than my QU mixers.
Where my QU was sitting just past 12 oāclock, my CQ is sitting at 3:30 for a similar level.
I must check the separate limiter function (which the QU didnāt have) hasnāt been engaged stealthily!
