    Hi all

Was giving the Q 18t unit and the P.A a shakedown run today and the display was very hard to view when there was direct sunlight( later in the afternoon when the sun was on the mixing table).
Made a few adjustments on the display and backlight settings but didn’t seem to make much difference.

Any suggestions for situations Where you are going to be outside in bright daylight to mix a show?

Appreciate any help you can offer.

That’s every screen on every mixer or that exists for that matter including laptops or your fone. Anytime mixing in sun you have to bring a popup shade tent to setup under or fashion an “umbrella” cover for the mixer.

This is much like Drones. For the past 10-12 years there has been an issue of seeing the screen in bright sunlight. Someone will have to produce a shade that mounts to the CQ-18T…and others. 🙂

In sunlight it’s better if using an IPad type device, even the sun shade solution is not as good.
I previously used a Line 6 M20D for years and the iPad was the best

I wonder if an “invert screen” option could help (i.e. change the background to white and have everything else in darker lines).
