    Hello Audioguy,

While troubleshooting with users, we will certainly assume that the mixer is powered on and the USB cable being plugged in, however, other questions cannot be left to assumptions and are necessary for us to spot or narrow down possible causes, such as knowing the operative system and Firmware versions.

If you would like to get in touch with us for assistance, you are welcome to reach out at: Support@allen-heath.com

    Thank you,
    Rafael

    Hello @Glen A,

All of the knobs are indeed located on the same single PCB, along with their adjacent push buttons and keys, such as menus and EQ control.
I would recommend sending a message to Support@allen-heath.com to assist you troubleshooting this, or contacting our distributor partner in your region directly, as it seems to be a hardware related issue.

    Hola Ivan,

    Saludos!

    Hello @spiceboy,

There is not problem with updating the Firmware to the latest if you don’t have the immediate previous version.

    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Hello @tibs,

It will certainly be difficult for someone in the stage to hear your talkback while the Signal Generator is being outputted from the same speaker.
I don’t believe this to be implemented as a feature in the future, as it is intended to function this way.

The Talk button can be used in Latch or Momentary mode, and will overwrite the current signal on the mix only for the time of the Talkback being used.

You can have the signal generator being sent to the monitor, and then activate the talkback by pressing the Talkback key only for the duration of your message, which will overwrite the signal generator only for the duration of the key being pressed, when the key gets released, the talkback shall be disabled and the signal generator will continue being outputted as normal right away.

    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Hello @tibs,

The TALK function allows you to send the signal from your Talkback (Whichever channel you’re sourcing your talkback from) directly into the selected output buses (Must likely being Mix Aux’s), overwriting the current signal on these buses for the duration of the Talkback activation, this could be latch or momentary.

Therefore, if you have a signal generator active and assigned into an Aux and the Talkback gets activated, the Talkback will overwrite the Signal Generator to let the signal from the Talkback to go through.

I can confirm that this is true also on the SQ console, not only on the app.
I would recommend doublechecking your Talkback and Signal generator assignments in the SETUP – AUDIO screen.

    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Hello @jeric,

The process is the same, only that it is done through the app.
The GUI might be slightly different in terms of displaying things in a different way, as this is an application and not an exact copy of the QU GUI. However, the process is the same.

    For your reference:

    Hello @jeric,

You can select a different Mix be pressing the Mix blue keys on the right side of the console, the LED lit on the Mix key will indicate that your layout is currently in this mix, at this point you just have to adjust your levels as desired for this mix.
Once your Mix is done, you can output this physically from its corresponding XLR outputs or stream the Mix out through USB connection into the computer, should you choose to go with this second option, note that you will need to patch your Aux Mix channels into the USB channels to stream this signal out over the USB interface.

Here are a couple of videos for your reference:

    Hello @dcastro,

I can confirm that QU is compatible with Ventura OS in both Intel or M1/M2 processors.
I’m sorry that you didn’t find a solution through the Support channel, if you reply back to the last thread or open a new ticket at Support@allen-heath.com, we will be happy to continue assisting and troubleshooting with you.

    Cheers,

    Hello @stefann,

The mixer will always power up in the same state as it was powered down. This is a standard on A&H consoles.
It isn’t possible to configure the console to an specific user or scene to boot up.

The best solution would be to make sure that the Basic user is logged before shutting down or, if the intention is to avoid users to operating under the Admin user, then setting up a password on the Admin user which will force them to log into the Basic user at start up.

    I hope this helps you!

    Hi @radar,
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same behaviour on your unit.
As my colleague Keith has explained, this behaviour is suggesting that the Firmware in the unit is corrupted and the console has entered a state of ‘Trying to find the Firmware’, unfortunately this may require a Hardware procedure.
As advised by Keith, please reach out to our Support team through the following channel: Support@allen-heath.com or directly to your nearest A&H distributor: https://www.allen-heath.com/where-to-buy/

    Thank you,
    Rafael
