    Dear @mns1
It is difficult to diagnose what the cause of the issue is, but our authorised technicians would be able to during service.

If the mixer is currently on the latest firmware (V1.97), then it is likely to be a hardware issue, in which case it would need to get service.
You can find the full list of our distribution partners herehttps://www.allen-heath.com/where-to-buy/

    Thank you,

    Dear Hugh (And all),
    Thank you for your input.

We are very happy to know that most of SQ users are experienced and knowledgeable Sound Technicians, but some colleagues are not so yet.
In that sense, I would say Mic Presets are more analogous to a book, which contains useful information that can however be useful for some, and perhaps for some not, and where you can always go back to review and re-check something, if it helps you.

Presets are used by a lot of good engineers constantly, as they provide a good start.

    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Dear @viperius

A preset is a good way to start your adjustment and is always a good first reference is needed, specially when not having much time to setup.
As advised by Mike, it is always good to include your own technique, knowledge and ears to adjust.

At the moment these presets are not available on SQ range, only for QU.

    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Hello @glennalonzo,

If you are having an issue with your unit, please submit a ticket at our support centre and I’ll be happy to trouble shoot this with you.
We do not advise users to open the mixers, if your unit has a hardware issue that requires repair, it will need to be sent to one of our approved service centres.

    Hello @Jayanthjohn,
Is it possible that you have some kind of limiter set on your OBS setup?
If you don’t see signal clipping on the mixer, and you are able to monitor your feed to make sure it doesn’t clip or cut, then this seems to be more on the side of OBS rather than the mixer itself.
Perhaps you can try to adjust the level of signal being send to OBS.

    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Hello @singtall,
It’s possible that on your Reverb FX send you are sending the return of the Echo FX.

I would suggest restarting all you sends. Select each FX send and make sure all faders are down. (On every layer)
Select your Echo FX and raise only your vocal channel fader.
If your Echo FX return is on unity at the main mix, you should then hear the FX on your main mix.

If you have further issues, kindly submit a ticket at our support centre and I’ll be happy to troubleshoot further with you.

    Hello Gary,
it seems like your ‘expander’ port at the AR2412 might be having a hardware issue.
Looking at the pattern of the times it has failed, it is always only the expander linked to this unit from the expander port.

Please submit a ticket at out support centre so I can follow up and advise you how to proceed in order to get this unit serviced.

    Hello Stupaak,
DAW Control is an old version of this application, please make sure you have the latest version of MIDI Control installed, as this one should work fine with your recent MAC OS systems.
USB HUBS are not recommended as they can affect the performance of your USB connection, hopefully the Apple converter will solve it.

If you require technical assistance, please submit a ticket at our support centre and I will be happy to trouble shoot it with you.

Also, as Victor has already pointed out, please make sure you have the latest firmware update on your unit, you can download the firmware from our website: https://www.allen-heath.com/qu-series/qu-16#software

    Thank you,

    Hello @MG

If the mixer is not powering on at all, it is must likely to be the power supply.
If the mixer is powering on but not displaying anything on the screen, it might be a different issue.

Please submit a ticket at our Support Centre giving as many details as possible: https://www.allen-heath.com/support/
And we’ll be happy to point you towards the right direction to get a service/repair.

    Hello @marting

As you have successfully used the mixer on your computer system to stream audio into you Cubase, the drivers are working fine and so is the unit.
As my colleague mentioned above, this is most likely a routing issue.

On Cubase you must create a bus (or several) and then select what output will have, in order to see the options displayed when trying to select an output bus for your tracks.
You can find more details and guidance on for that on the following link from Steinberg’s site: https://steinberg.help/cubase_elements/v10/en/cubase_nuendo/topics/vst_connections/vst_connections_window_r.html

    Best regards,
    Rafa

Hello Simon, MIDI Control hasn’t officially finished tests on Monterey OS. However, no issues are expected.
When you launch the app, you will find the icon on the right top corner along with any other launched application, you must click on it and select “Show Preferences”, this will open the box where you can select and adjusts your settings.

Please try that and let me know if you’re able to access it.
