Those batteries should be replaced every 5 years to be safe, although I’ve had them last for over 10.

And Stix: thanks for posting that picture: the battery looks to be easily accessible by removing the side panel. The picture is reversed though; the battery is on the right-hand side of the board by the talkback mic input/headphone volume control.

Why not test it? Hook up a stereo source to two inputs, look at the meters on your DAW, then manipulate the width control and see if it affects the Daw tracks.

Here’s a link to my collection of iLive documents:

Under “User Manuals” I think you’re looking for ‘iLive Reference Part 1: Hardware” and ‘iLive Reference Part 2: Firmware”.

Before I had my iLives I had a Roland VM-7200 board that had Post-Fade Input display and I found it very useful for checking the balance on things like backup vocals. I’m surprised that boards as sophisticated as the iLive and dLive don’t have this option as it’s probably just a few more lines of code in the OS.

Have you checked under PAFL Settings that PAFL Trim is up full (0.0 db) and Main to PAFL Levels are PAFL Left/Main Left 0.0 db and PAFL Right/Main Right 0.0 db?

I’m having the same problem with my T-112-it works sometimes and not other times. Could just be a bad headphone jack or problem with the headphone amp. A trip to the repair shop is the probable solution.

Why not run the monitor send for the CD Post-Fade? Even with CD’s of different levels; when it’s right in the house it will be right in the wedge.

I’m using Waves Tracks Live to record from my iLive and it’s working great. I decided to go with the A&H Waves card as it allows simultaneous recording and plug-ins.

And the iLive, while you’re at it.

    Hi Keith:

these are for the mix external input (which is why they are all part in the ‘Socket Preamp’ box on screen).

Is this true for the iLive as well? I can’t seem to find an explanation for these controls in any of the manuals.

    -thanks, Mark

Where? The closest you can get is to use the Low band as a High-pass, using up one of the 4 PEQ bands. Same as on my iLives. We’re asking to have the same capability as the channels: High-pass plus 4-band Parametric.

Or run your recording mix from a stereo matrix set to -4 db. Then you could have both levels be correct.

    Hi Jay:

There is a 3rd option, and that is to use a Remote Desktop (I use VNC) to control your PC/Mac running Director alongside your Surface. I do this with my iLive system and am not at the mercy of incompatible Software Updates. It also gives you full access to all functions of your dLive system.
