    Hi Nicola:

Thanks for the info. The iDR-16 makes sense for the FOH DSP; an ACE port is already built in. In the above scenario, the xDR16 would really just be a Port for the Waves card.

Great news about the Waves II card! I’ll be eagerly awaiting the launch of this new product. Ultimately I’m looking for a way to do FOH/Monitors, Waves Plug-Ins and Recording all at the same time. Hopefully the Waves II will let me accomplish this.

I’ve had my iLive since March, and it’s a fantastic product. I’ve even had people walk by, go “Whoa; nice board”, pull out their cell phones and take a picture.

As I’ve only had my T112/IDR-48 for 2 months now, I sure hope the iLive line keeps getting software upgrades, at least to the functionality of the GLDs. Having a Transient Designer FX, variable HP filter slopes and programmable crossfade Scene times seems like not too much to ask, especially as the code has already been developed.

As for software control, I’m not even planning to buy the I-Pad App. I’m instead controlling iLive Editor from my I-Pad with VNC. This gives me full EFX editing, Routing, Delay Tap tempo and Soft-Key control from anywhere in the room.

    Hi Detonator:

Thanks for pointing out this comprehensive reference. I don’t think it’s on the A&H site anymore:

    https://www.vrlab.ctw.utwente.nl/eq/Documentation/LabControlAudio_iLive%20Reference%20Part%202%20Firmware%20AP6526-2_5.pdf

Unfortunately, It’s still not what I’m looking for. It will show a single mono or stereo channel on the PAFL LED’s on the right-hand side of the surface, but only one channel at a time. I’m looking to see AFL on several or all channels, either on the channel LED’s above each channel or on the touchscreen on the Meters page.

    -thanks, Mark

    Hi Guys:

Thanks for all the advice. So my T112/IDR48 arrived last Friday and I’ve been holed up with this thing the last 3 days setting up mixes and learning the architecture. What an amazing device! I was used to working with (and around) limitations but the iLive seems to have little or none!

One feature I used quite a bit on my old Roland VM7000/Sounddiver setup was the ability to view channel levels post fade. I do several outdoor concert series in the summer with bands I’ve never worked with. If there are 3-4 singers singing together it helps to see their separate post-fade levels to made sure they are all balanced and audible. Is there any way to view post fade channel levels on the iLive?

    -thanks, Mark

End of Life?!?! I just acquired the funds to finally buy a T112/IDR48. It should be arriving by the end of this week. I sure hope A&H doesn’t announce an iLive 2 in the next few months. I’d love to see a Transient Designer effect from the GLD line become available for the iLive.

    Hi Doug:

Thanks for the reply. On the Fixed Format surfaces, there’s no Port B for the Dante card. Would I have to have to have the recording computer located on the stage instead of a FOH? Or would it be possible to run a second “Dante Snake” back to FOH if I wanted to have the recorder PC located there?

    -thanks, Mark
