… yes – that’s my plan, too.
i’ll do the controlling of m macmini on stage by remote desktop through ace.
it should work cause of the bandwidth that is not sooo high, i think – just control data.greetz,

office@inlinemedia.at2012/06/10 at 7:36 am #30799no – recording through ace is not possible because of bandwidth limitation.
but if you want your recording computer at foh, the easiest way is to take a second cat5 cable (foh <-> stage)
i will do this in the future in that way: recording computer (macmini) on stage, that is remoted from foh macbook (this should work through ace as well because there are no high datarates transmitted/received)greetz,

office@inlinemedia.at2012/06/09 at 2:36 pm #30797no problem!
you have a 3-port switch on the m-waves card ->
-) one for bridging to the tcp/ip port on the mixrack (tunneling through ACE)
-) one for connectiong the sg server (live-processing)
-) one for the recording computer (with the sg driver installed)fine

office@inlinemedia.at2012/06/08 at 1:27 pm #30787hi!
yes – that’s possible.
i do it this way
you can find “how to dos” on waveslive.com and ilive-digital.com (nice webinars from nicola:))greetz,

office@inlinemedia.at2012/05/22 at 6:58 am #30651sure! it works with dante, of course (multirack native).
but you also have the license issues …
and latency is (especially in smaller venues) a problem (not only on monitors)
with waves i can use natives, tdms with/without soundgrid server, with/without recording/playback … fine!greetz,

office@inlinemedia.at2012/05/21 at 6:49 am #30639… yes – that’s in the pipeline
if digital-inputs are planned? i do not have any info …greetz,

office@inlinemedia.at2012/05/20 at 2:23 pm #30635… but the dante basic latency from the virtual soundcard itself is minimum 4ms !!!
and with m-waves you just have the driver-latency (asio/coreaudio) which you can get down 80 samples … that makes 1,67ms @ 48k !
i have tested this with multirack native (with native plugs) and it worked very well with the lowest buffersize on my macbook pro (13″, core2duo 2,53ghz, 8gb ram, rme fireface400)so – for me m-waves is THE card … you can process live-sound with a soundgrid-server (then you can run plugs with very low latency) AND you can do live-recordings at the same time (up to 64 ! channels)

office@inlinemedia.at2012/05/17 at 12:19 pm #30614… i am using the belden 1305a catsnake (90m) with ethercon-plugs and it works great with ace – no issues/drop-outs/etc. till now.
i am also using a eurocabel cat6 type – same!by the way: belden 1305a is a recommended cabel in the ilive manual …

office@inlinemedia.at2012/05/16 at 4:07 pm #30604… future improvements will be aes/ebu outputs on the mixracks – this can be done by upgrading the pcb or directly when ordering …
(info from the last gld/ilive workshop i visitied 2 weeks ago )by now you can use e.g. the mmo-card – there you get 24 channels in ADAT-format

office@inlinemedia.at2012/03/10 at 7:32 am #29997yep – to use the soundgrid server you have to buy tdms or upgrade your natives.
and one more time: you can use multirack native with the card! of course – because of the sg driver !!!!greetz,

office@inlinemedia.at2012/03/09 at 6:32 am #29986for sure – if you buy e.g. the waves soundgrid server one you get allover roundtrip latency of about 1ms!!
but i do not want to buy a sg server (now). i use my multirack native with the sg driver.
i put 80 samples for the waves card and had 64 samples latency within the multirack plugs.
that makes a troughput ((allover) latency of round 3ms fine!greetz,

office@inlinemedia.at2012/03/08 at 10:04 am #29908hi mixerdad!
i recommend to take a look on the m-waves card.
it’s competitive to dante …greetz,

office@inlinemedia.at2012/03/06 at 7:32 pm #29890hi!
yes – it works fine with multirack native, because you just need a driver and a soundcard.
and the waves card is a soundcard … the sg driver is very well programmed!
i’m using following laptop live:
macbook (black), 2×2,2ghz core2duo, 4gb ram, 7200 seagate momentus hdd, directly conntected with cat5e (or better cat6) via gigbit-port to the wave-card.
and it works fine with logic, too (recording and playback) … very easy to configure (there is no patching needed like with the dante )greetz,
