    Why? What do you gain, that can’t be better served by Ethernet connection?

    In answer to your last two suggestions, both of those have to be bought as add ones for SQ and Avantis, it is highly unlikely you will get them included in CQ.

    I agree a method of locking certain functions, including softkeys, is a notable lack. I am used to SQ, Avantis and AHM, all of which have the ability to allow or block changes some way or other, when a scene is loaded.

    You have to buy it for SQ and Avantis, so until they start providing DPack equivalent for CQ it is highly unlikely.

    That is not done because a mix output can be routed to any number of physical places at r the same time. An input can only come from one place. That will never change, it it the science behind audio.

    Pardon? Please explain.

    I was 99% sure of that, having set up and installed 3 AHM units, one of each size, in 2023, and did not remember there being one. It’s just that someone has posted on AHM Facebook page that they are being asked for Admin password at settings???

    I can well believe that the A&H research boffins have perhaps already thought long the same lines! It certainly seems a great idea, a really portable, but powerfully expandable 96hHz A&H mixer. Just imagine connecting a DX32 with Prime Input boards, to such a device, oooh the sound quality!!

    You are asking for something that is the same across all A&H mixers to be changed, I doubt you will have any joy.

    There are many function that “other digital platforms, including SQ, Avantis and DLive, have that CQ does not. Oh! What a surprise! A mixer costing less that £1k does not have most of the functions of those costing between 2 and 20 times the price!
    I’m sure some of the things we are all asking for will be included, but we are all, me included as I own CQ18T, SQ5 and AHM64, will have to accept that CQ was designed to have limited functionality compared to the more expensive ranges. If CQ does no suit, there is always Qu, admittedly only 48kHz, or Sq.

    The whole point of the Aux mixes is that they are totally independent of main LR! It is the same on all the A&H mixers!
    You would have just the same problem on Qu16. All other A&H mixers, from Qu24 upwards have groups and matrices, either of which would give you a solution to your problem.
    Many people are asking for groups and/or matrices to be added to CQ.

    I do believe only Avantis, maybe also DLive (but I don’t have one), has that function.

    You second request is a very long shot! Most other digital mixers use of the shelf DSP chips, all A&H ones, except QU range, use their own proprietary XCVI (Roman for 96!) FPGA chip. Thus, as A&H are not going to reveal how that works, only their own plug-ins will ever be available.

    Having looked at CC editor, there is no direct way to control the playback. But you can create a button to send custom midi command using the above protocol.

    The following is the midi command format for transport control

    MMC (Transport Control)
    SysEx message
    SS = Scene number within bank = 00 to 7F Bank = Bank of scenes
    (refer to table)
    Bank 1 – Scene 1 to 128 Bank 2 – Scene 129 to 256 Bank 3 – Scene 257 to 384 Bank 4 – Scene 385 to 500
    Select bank
    BN, 00, Bank,
    Bank = 00 Bank = 01 Bank = 02 Bank = 03 Recall Scene CN, SS
    F0, 7F, 7F, 06, TC, F7 Where TC transport control is:

    01 = Stop
    02 = Play
    04 = Fast Forward
    05 = Rewind
    06 = Record
    09 = Pause

    I have not got CC info with me, so am not sure about that.
