Thank you so much… I will place my order now :c)

    One last question:
If a Dante card is inserted at slave IDR48 (for 64 channel recording), could the outgoing Dante signal be mapped to any source (from T112 or master IDR48 inputs)?

And can i route any incoming Dante signal to master IDR48 or T112 outputs (for 64 channel playback)?

I guess ACE connection is busy to transfer 32 Busses between master IDR and slave IDR, so is there still enough recource to transfer the Dante channels over it?

I dont need them really, i just want to find out the limits of the system before i will order M-ACE card for it.

Regarding direct out: could i route direct out of channel 65 ( on slave mixrack) to 6.3mm jack of T112?

In case if you will get a negative answer, i have a workaround for you: You can remote control all the faders by midi. Use a PC to move the faders slowly.

    Good idea…

    Ive checked the QU-16 FAQ:

“Yes, standard MIDI control is tunnelled over the USB connection. All faders and a selection of the switches on the surface can be assigned to a DAW which supports MIDI control. Alternatively, a MIDI driver is available for use with the Ethernet port.”

This means you can send midi commands at leased for the fader positions to the computer, but as long AH is not providing midi protocol document for QU-16, its not 100% sure, if you can use any rotary knobs for midi.

Could someone, who owns a QU-16 already, check, if it sends out any midi command, if SEL button will be pressed or any rotary knob will be used?

Hmmm. It seems you are right.

In this case you need to split one input to 4 faders (post aux) and each fader is pre-assigned to one aux / one corner. Then just change the level of this input fader to assign it to a corner (ocer midi).

    Hello from Germany…

I know your thread is from 2012 but ive unpacked my old bcf2000 after long time now and i want give it a try with your settings.

I’ve downloaded your syx file to bcf2000 and i’ve loaded your xml file to the ilive pc editor.

    It seems to work, but:

If i do some changes on editor, and bcf2000 ist not at the actual preset page, the bcf2000 will not recognize the changes.

    As example:
    1) Set bcf2000 to P-1 (for channels 1-8)
    2) On pc editor move fader channel 1 to 70% (bcf2000 fader no.1 will go to 70%, too)
    3) Set bcf2000 to P-2 (for channels 9-16) – bcf2000 fader no.1 will go to 0% – thats OK.
    4) On pc editor move fader channel 1 from 70% down to 30% – on bcf2000 nothing will move – sure, because channel 9-16 ist activated – OK so far.
    5) Set bcf2000 back to P-1 – fader no.1 will move back to 70%, but this is not OK, because it should be 30%.

Do you have the same problem? Is there a solution or workaround for this?

I’ve tried it in my warehouse now. It works with Windows 7 without any additional software. Built in microphone has surprising good sound.

My problem now is: Audinate webshop requires credit card for purchasing virtual soundcard software. 30$ offer is stil active and I cannot buy…

But this is an other story…

Has someone tried to use the notebook soundcard as input for talkback and output for PFL?

i have tried to record 64 tracks to my notebook (Core Duo CPU). CPU was loaded 80% and Recording and ilive editor software begun to stock, if i have used all 64 tracks with Virtual Dante Soundcard. CPU load was better with 8 tracks only. No problems anymore.

After changing to new notebook with Intel i5 CPU, the CPU load was 20-25% with 64 tracks… better :c)

I have updated my IDR-48 V1.83 to 1.9 with my notebook using editor Software 1.83, no problems.

    I was connected by WiFi.

After this i have updated the editor software 1.83 to 1.9, no problems, too.

im also searching for a good WiFi gigabit router. The D-LINK DIR-825 seems not to be OK. Is there any other recommendation for a WiFi Router with multicast and gigabit ethernet ports? The ilive router compatibility list seems to be too old.
