Thanks Scott (In editor the super strip has a direct out rotary control above the fader)… I missed that…

I will have to get back to my surface tomorrow and see… one would think it is in there somewhere – thanks…

Thanks for response Richard. I saw how to set up to 2 sends. I was hoping that there was something I was missing to set it to be dynamic.

Disable additive is an option (but I like it on). I realized there was no clear when I removed a channel that was PAFL’d from the strips. I dug it back out and undid but a clear would be nice…

@nicola, if I follow you correctly, it is safe and reliable to use both ports to route to 2 different devices…

What is the difference between that and when the “redundancy” becomes available?

    thanks

    Thanks…

What is the difference between a parallel output and a redundant port?

I read this suggestion on another forum… I love the idea…

“Mix selection indication needs to be more obvious. Even after two years, I find myself adjusting a fader, realizing I was in the wrong mix. I think if you are in anything but the main mix it should flash all the mix lights or something.”

This would be nice on iLive too…. Unless I did something wrong, when I used a group I lost control of “Sub” send so I like using DCA for things like drums… but some visibility would be nice.

I have been using a cheap NetGear Gig switch to record 64 channels all summer and so far has been fine using the switch to split the signal to 2 computers. Some of the recordings ran for 4+ hours without stopping.

I don’t know if I am just lucky or because DANTE is the only thing on that network, I was under the impression there is no need for a managed switch for a single purpose network.

If you do not already have the JoeCos, they have a DANTE 64ch version now.

The DANTE controller is amazing when it comes to routing things around. I have been able to do DAW tests by simply routing like L/R from iPOD to all 64 channels on multiple computers . very handy tool.

If I remember correctly, you need to use F1 key or similar to engage the mouse….

We’ve had similar problems when we are set up next to the monitor desk and the engineer would turn on his wedge, we found the snare would park the drive.

We had problems with Glyph, Seagate and OWC at this festival. Fortunately, we were doing redundant recordings so we had everything. Since we have gone to RAID SSD.

Contrary to a lot of posts/articles, they have been plenty fast enough to record 64 channels at 48/24 during all of our tests.
