It seems to me that the virtual soundcheck feature is a great way of learning to use a new console without needing a band at your disposal.
Lots of tutorials tell you how to create a virtual soundcheck multitrack using a live recording but are there any resources where I can download a readymade one (ideally a QU drive disk image with the folder structure in place)?
I can get hold of generic multitracks to download, rename and rearrange the files into folders or whatever but if there’s a shortcut it would be great.
thanks
PS – I’ve just seen the pinned post in the tutorials post which describes exactly this. Which shows how rubbish the search feature is on this forum! anyone have useful feedback on the process?
Years ago, when I was in your position I found what you need on a site with “camebridge” in the title. I forgot the exact name, sorry… You’ll have to do some digging.
Alternatively, maybe you have friend’s bands with multitracks ?
Setting up your QU-drive and making sure it works is also a skill you’d want to learn so starting from scratch seems a good idea to me.
thanks – yes I found https://www.cambridge-mt.com/ms/mtk/ which is an amazing resource – I’ve downloaded one and renamed and made a folder etc.
not been able to test it yet
