Back in November I installed V1.9 but after it was installed I received the notice that I had to have new hardware. So I reinstalled V1.83 and have been using that up until now. I have been trying to install the V1.90 and/or V1.91 without success because the system does not allow me access to the “Perform Updates” tab. I have not installed the new Mix Engine card yet because the instructions tell me to wait until I updated the Firmeware. But I am at a standstill because it is not allowing me to “Preform Updates”. There is a printed instruction sheet in the box with the new Mix Engine that leads me to think that I can install the Mix Engine card first and then update the firmware – by just ignoring the request to install the V.1.7 firmware it is asking for.

Thanks Richard – I just purchased a router and once I get that setup and try it with theTweak app I hope to get the MixPad app.

I now have an iPad and am interested in purchasing the MixPad app to use with our iLive 144 but I am wondering about the app version being 1.81 and our console is running 1.83 – do the versions have to match? Also – can I assume that the app will be updated to keep current with the firmware without having to pay each time? I am still new to the iPad so I am not familiar with how software works with it.

It would be nice if that were the case but it is only a duplicate of the small screen. With the larger touch screen we can make changes on the same screen we look at to read things. The larger screen is just bigger and more clear. Many times I have touched the larger screen to make changes – only to feel real stupid and then go back to the little screen. I ordered one as soon as I got the response that it should work – can’t wait for it to come in.

Our console is pretty much permanent so we have had a 17″ LCD monitor hooked up for some time now. It is nice but it would be much nicer if the larger monitor were also touch screen. I would agree it would be a bit much if you are mobile that much. For some reason I seem to remember being told we would need an additional board to be able to use a larger, external, touch screen monitor – perhaps I misunderstood. We currently have our LCD plugged into the VGA port – but if all we need to do to make a touch screen work is to buy the proper monitor and plug it into the VGA and USB ports it would be great!

We have long wanted a larger monitor with touch screen but are uncertain if our iLive 144 is ready to use one or do you need to modify it in some way. I know we have the 1.0 ghz display in the unit because of all the issues with 1.50/1.51 firmware. Would we be able to use the GVision P15BX Andy mentioned without modifying the console?

Would it be possible to have the Bank Layers be stored in scenes so that when a scene is recalled the layer on top when the scene is saved comes back up on top when the scene is recalled? I appears to me that whatever layer (A, B, C, or D), on any Bank of faders, is up on the current scene is also up on the recalled scene.

Is it possible to have the Mute indicator light on faders in a DCA that is muted, show that the fader is muted because the DCA is muted?

I would like the ability to insert a new scene between existing scenes – or the ability to move the order of scenes.

I am still quite a new-bee but the console (iLive 144) is incredible.
