Made up a couple of Peli 1150 cases with a small switch and media converter in each.
This enables you to use one cable – CAT5e or fibre to run DX and DT boxes together.
Have used Netgear GS105E switches – made one VLAN for S-Link traffic and one for Dante traffic.
The S-Link port on the switch needs to be set to 100M so that the DX box is recognised
The Dante ports are set to Auto speed wise.
Made two identical trunk ports for each box – one for a CAT 5e connection to the other box, and one to go into a TP-Link MC220L media converter to convert to fibre.
    Seems to be working !

    Ah, there you go!

Just the experiment I was after in another recent thread. It would seem that it would work without issues, but it is AoIP afterall so I’m not making any bets. Please let us know as you use your new rig if you encounter any glitches.

    Thanks for your work.

    D.
