+1 for either of the suggestions.

    1: obvious – get a new Dantecard 😉

2: if you can bypass the switch and get a clean direct Cat run, then a S-link card in the FoH console.

You can change them to what you need, any processing channel can have any inputs patched to them.
(and changed on scene recalls, if wanted)

Input patch = what input socket (local, S-Link, Dante, USB etc ) is patched to each processing channel.

Say in scene 1 you use a mic connected to the local input 1 on the console, but in scene 2 you want to use the mic connected to eg local inpit socket 14.
That is the patch change you can have or block using the filters.

    kind regards

So far I have not seen any.
Would love a DT4816 or just a DT3216 with the ME port as well.

Panic aborted, found the note and got into the console again 🙂

Now let my problem be a warning to all my fellow SQ’ers out there, remember your passwords or at least remember where you place the memory post-it note for later 😉

You need to connect the network port of both consoles to the router, if you want to access both from an IPad or similar.

The S-Link/GigACE ports will only send audio between the consoles if you connect those two together.

Not on the ME bus, that is A&H specific.

For Hear Back you need to use the analog input in the hub, or get the version with Dante or Waves in, and a card for the console.

A workaround I use in musicals, is to have a DCA unused and muted.

Then I just assign unused radiomics to that DCA when they are not in a “show” DCA.
Or I have an unused mute group I use instead of the unused DCA, all depends on the show (and the console)

Sadly no, as it would exceed the limit of 40 inputs on that protocol.

You can plug an AR2412 into the console, and use an AB168 as expander tp get the 40 inputs.

    What is the setup now?

DT168 connected via Dante card to the SQ7, then S-Link between the two consoles, or do you have Dante card in both consoles?

Anyway in both situations you will only have Preamp control on the console connected to the DX/DT, and only digital trim on the second console.

One way is add the new mic on the next available channel, then change the layout on the layer to have the channels presented in the preferred order.

No mix and/or group are hardwired anywhere, you patch them in the I/O tab.

Hugh thanks, think we are 100% on the same page there.
I have a SQ5 inhouse, but use a LS9 several times a year for smaller musicals, and the two consoles are similar enough that I can go on “auto pilot” for the main setup, yet different enough for me to always remember what console syntax I need to use 😉

The main frustration I have seen concerning the SQ scene vs the LS9, is the ability to have fade times, and to make the scenechange right in the middle of a manual fade.
For OP’s use I doubt that will be any issue though.
