    Hi Coconut

This could possibly be an issue related to the Power harness that connects power to your SBC in the surface.

I would suggest you get in touch with A&H Technical Support so they can assist you with your issue.

    Hi Mamal

where are you activating TRIM ON SURFACE?

if you change this within the Pre-amp window it should only affect the channel you have selected.
If you made this shange from mixrack setup – Mixer Preferences – preferences – it will affect all input channels on the desk.

    Hi All

Just to clarify the facts, their is no limit to the amount of input channels sourced from 1 IP socket, you could have all 64 channels coming from the same socket if you wanted. [:)]

When using multiple input channels from the same socket Analogue gain is shared but not digital trim.

    Hi Mika

with regards to parrallel compression, you could source 2 input channels from the same sockets, so the same signal over 2 seperate input channels then mix the 2 seperate input channels together to create the same effect?

With regards to your other question, connecting editor and the surface loosing power.
To avoid Editor loosing connection if the surface was to loose power. Connect to the mixrack only, this way if the surface was to loose power editor will stay connected as a back-up surface.

Note. Make sure your virtual surface on Editor exactly matches your hardware surface to avoid any incompataility issues

    Hope this helps

    Hi Tuejo/Stix

This could be a feature for the future, MIDI support for MIX/SEL/Pan functions has now been added to the feature request list for future firmware.

    Hi Tuejo

    the PL control functions:
    Input Channel SEL
    Mix Channel SEL
    Input Fx SEL
    Mix button Select

are only available if you plug a PL device into the surface. You will not get these functions if you plug a PL device into the MixRack.

Unfortunately T-Series surfaces do not have PL-Anet sockets fitted so to use these features you will need an iLive surface.

    Hi Chris

iLive Editor is only supported with Intel powered Mac’s – Power PC Mac’s may work with a full online session but not offline or Mixrack only mode.

1.53 will work with Snow Leopard, but only if you are running the 32-Bit version of Java.

To enable 32-Bit Java go to:-
    Utilities – Java Preferences –
in the Java preferences – General page – there are 2 boxes:
    Java applet plugin
Java application – set this to 32-Bit by click + dragging the 32-Bit so it is at the top of the selection box.

    Hi Oyvind

The fastest way on the surface would be to block select where you would like to move the vocal strips to on the surface strip layout, then add the guitar channel to overwrite the duplicate left vocal channel.

Another way would be to use iLive Editor – in the strip mode on editor you can insert a channel between 2 strips, this is done by dragging a channel strip between 2 other strips. This will then move all the current strips on the rightside of where you inserting the channel to the right depending on how many channels you are inserting.

    Hope you understand

    Hi Thomas

It sounds like a unit measurement difference. The iLive system displays signal levels in dBu where as most software digital audio workstations (DAW) and computer soundcard control panels display signal level in dBFS.

To test this is the case, Set the signal generator to 0dBu sinewave and assign the signal generator to a mono group, set the mono group fader level to 0dBu then send the mono group out of the ADAT output on the MMO card. the level you should recieve on the input of the DAW should be 0dBu or -18dBFS.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Kris

You have a very old version of the documentation. Please contact your local distributor for a copy of the latest version.

J8 on the mixrack will reset User profiles:
    • User names
    • User passwords
    • User permissions
    • User default power-up scene

J7 on the mixrack will also reset User profiles but also:
    • Input setup – mono and stereo channel settings
    • Mix configuration
    • Buss configuration
    • Mixrack IP address

    Hi Timo

at present there is no way of linking input channel to LR pan with Stereo Aux pan.

We are looking into this function for a future release of firmware.

    Hi Doug

When Faders are ganged together only move 1 fader in the gang as the other faders will follow the fader you are moving automatically.

The reason the faders are fighting back is because each fader is trying to follow the level of the other faders in the gang so they are the same level.

If you do not wish to link the faders you can just remove the fader linking attribute in the gang attributes page.

    Hi Dave

You could put up to 8 input channels into a gang and link the input Delay, although this limits you to only 8 input channels.

Another way would be to assign all of the drum channels to a Stereo Group and Delay the Stereo Group.

    Hope this Helps
