They could basically just copy Soundcraft Vi on this. Vi has its faults, but this specific feature is pretty much implemented perfectly.
2019/02/22 at 9:41 am #82154FYI, from what I hear v1.8 will introduce alternative inputs (like on Soundcraft etc.). Whether or not they will expand recall filter options, that will resolve the specific issue that you have. (unless of course the input selection is not part of the recall filter or user button options…in which case it’s back to #1)
2019/02/22 at 9:31 am #82153Uhhh, yes. We know how dLive works…

2018/12/11 at 2:59 pm #80763I’m not familiar with how clocking is handled in gigaACE. Do we know if it uses PTP or PTPv2?
How about multicast? IGMP snooping?2018/11/08 at 2:35 pm #79897Just search for DiGiCo 4REA4.
2018/11/03 at 11:06 am #79736And while we are at it. Why is the 164-wall(lcd) version and a 100mm IP controller only available for DiGiCo? Seems like a weird choice to snub dLive customers.
2018/10/06 at 9:51 am #78945My question for a setup like this is, how do you change all channels to be post fader on an aux? How do you quickly assign something to a group and take it out of the mains?
2018/05/28 at 9:59 am #71315I’d say create a bank with only your wireless, and that could give you an overview. Now, if we compare it to what you can monitor on other platforms, it is already pretty much on par.(Soundcraft Vi’s screen layout makes it the most useful really) I don’t think it is supposed to be much more than it is.
If I needed more details than that, I would probably just use an old iPad with the spluschannels app, or a cheap windows tablet with WWB.2018/05/13 at 4:43 pm #70975The EQ is every bit as ‘effective’. The visual representation is different, so don’t just assume that your Q is the same just because it looks like it is. You likely have a wider Q on the X32. Which is neither better or worse.
Now, you could just use the GEQ’s. They are there anyway, and they have an RTA. GEQ’s are usually used for the specific task of notching out problematic frequencies. That would solve the issues you are having.
2018/04/19 at 7:42 am #70507Likely because anyone using a console like dLive also has processing in their amps that handle protection etc. better than any console ever could. I would like total freedom to do whatever I want on the console, but if I had to prioritize, this particular feature couldn’t be lower on the list.
2018/04/03 at 4:07 pm #70065I still don’t think you understand what he is asking for. It is a task that is performed on all other consoles, and there is no good reason why you shouldn’t be able to do that on a dLive surface.
Basically, a surface is just a computer with imbedded software. There is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to pre-program a show without the mixrack connected to the surface.
2018/04/01 at 10:38 am #70006Though I might agree that it could have better scoping, I don’t agree with your reasoning. If you need to update multiple scenes, just use the update function.
2018/04/01 at 10:26 am #70004I think he means ‘surface’ in offline mode, which makes sense. Personally I like that I know that I have contact to the mixrack, but perhaps it could be a boot process (hold down ‘x’ while booting).
2017/11/15 at 9:55 am #66301A definate +1. Usually I roll the frequency to the max, change the filter, then bring it down.
It is a very simple fix. Doesn’t even need new graphic assets. Just let us touch the filter type to select it instead of scroll.
