This is happening to my Avantis, current firmware, faders have been calibrated. The console has only been out on about a dozen shows, well cared for, indoors, case, no smoke, etc. This is starting to sound like a bigger issue, and I certainly hope that they don’t just tell me to go and pay to have it repaired.

2021/03/18 at 4:48 pm #99920Thanks Nikola, I can’t seem to find which fb avenue I took earlier. I’ll send an email, thanks!
2021/01/13 at 2:03 am #98070For the record, I haven’t had a single issue with mine, and I absolutely love the workflow, even more than the CL, digico, etc. FWIW, I still own a GLD & use a qu-16 for smaller talking head events.
2021/01/04 at 12:56 am #97843I understand and respect your opinion.
2020/12/22 at 5:35 pm #97559Thanks, I’ll try the scene idea.
By definition, it is a dimmer shortcut, as it opens the window upon pressing it. The full brightness is an added function of said shortcut, at least from a programmer’s perspective.
In summary, it would be nice to at least have a toggle to tell it whether or not you want the screens at full brightness upon pressing the button. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.2020/10/02 at 3:36 pm #95379The DCA mute actually mutes each channel. Think of it as a remote control for the mute button and fader. Try using matrices to send channels to each desired output, and then mute the desired matrix. For example, one matrix for mons & one for foh. You could also split/duplicate the channels as in a FOH/MON setup.
2020/09/30 at 3:33 am #95303I appreciate your opinion.
2020/09/30 at 3:29 am #95302I had been happily running my GLD80 for about 5 years before taking the leap to Avantis, and I couldn’t be happier (except for wanting shows to happen again, etc). I’ve had it on a few shows, and I continue to practice at home with vsc and I can’t wait to really get it out there. What I love most is the flexibility and the UI, which I was most hesitant about. No “select” button, for example. Once you get it, I assure you that you’ll like it.
2020/04/23 at 3:23 am #91255The only thing that it brings to 100% are the touchscreens. Everything else stays the same. I understand the thinking behind it, but I wish that it was just a shortcut.
2020/04/01 at 1:56 pm #90670I agree that a global dimmer would be great – like a DCA for all of the individual controls. Also relevant, I noticed that there is a shortcut to the dimmer controls if you hold down the right “view” button by the fast grab tabs.
Cheers.2020/04/01 at 1:52 pm #90669Current firmware, starts OK, although it seemed to take a little longer; I didn’t time it.
Update: it appears as though it happened when I had a laptop/pro tools connected to the Dante port. Will get back to you with what I find today.2020/03/28 at 6:45 pm #90546Yes, but only if you push the mix key on a DCA first. My point was that it’s inconsistent, based on the order in which you activate it.
2020/03/04 at 2:09 pm #89997I hope so. Even the x32 has it.
2020/02/18 at 7:18 pm #89686I’m putting it in my Avantis 🙂
