I just switched to Window 10. I’m having some behavior issues with DAW Control for Windows. On the Mac I had issues but not with DAW Control. I’ve had to kill it in Task Manager several times in order to “launch” it and get to the preferences window.

Hello. Thanks for the input. I have set up two Mackie Control devices each on its own MIDI Channel. I have the soft keys set to bank up and down. I’ve tried to “Place” them using the group area when setting up the devices. I’m missing something regarding the bank up/down. Maybe yo7 can fill in the blanks for me. Been extremely frustrating. I’m on Windows 10 now.

Good post, thanks. I just got a QU16 and the band plays this weekend. this will be the second outting with the mixer. I’m a big fan of bus compressors and will certainly try the optical setting.

Well, I’ve still had no luck setting up the mixer so that I can “solo” channels. I also found out that the Alt Out does not carry with it the processing. From what I can hear.

Ah, you know I’m glad I read this thread. I was going to use the Alt out instead of the Mains out for the next gig, but now that I see the Alt Out does not carry with it the processing (not sure how I missed that) I will use the mains or a spare mix bus. Thanks.

Ah, the thumb drive is not recognized, however my Glyph Drive is. Should have looked at that yesterday prior to posting. Though it’s interesting. I’d prefer to purchase a quality/fast thumb drive rather then toting around the Glyph. thanks again.

I’ve done the same. I had a channel that I could coming in yet refused to output. I reset and it was fine. I’m more then ok with the experimenting!

I’m using the alt out. I understand that PAFL in the analog world often acts as a solo button. I’ve yet to be able to “solo” using the alt out or the Main outs for monitoring. Certainly in a live situation I’m interested in headphone only soloing. I’ve been on the road for several days, I’ll get back to it this weekend. Thx.
