I completely agree that there needs to be a much more obvious “in-your-face” indication that sends on fader is active. I would prefer flashing LED’s on all channel strips, but at minimum keep the current selection flashing. I oversee a lot of volunteers and student workers who are just learning mixing/consoles/etc and I get a huge volume of calls related to this very issue. Seriously, at least half the time I get a call it is “the fader isn’t working… I turn it up but don’t hear anything…” – I believe I have asked for this in a previous post a year or so ago, but came back to the forums one more time to vent my frustration and hope that this makes it into a firmware update soon!
Seriously… Coming from Yamaha world (all channel select keys light up), to Soundcraft (all fader lightstrips change colors), to Digico (all channel screens change color and name)… I’m sure there are more examples out there – but it seems like A&H completely missed the ball on this simple but important piece of communication to the engineer.
+1 similar to other thread
I just started a new thread on this named “Channel Presets” forgetting that I had commented on this thread a year ago. It’s clearly still an issue.
+1 This really is important…

I would also love to see the Inserts being recalled with the channel library. I often put de-essers onto vocalists as part of their signal chain.

This is still an issue with v1.2

+1 In addition, when updating/saving a scene, it should show the actual scene name, not just the number.
+1 The 42 busses do run out very quickly.
+1 I would like the name to recall. And the dPack inserts (dyn8, de-Esser, etc). Those are part of the channel.
I sometimes don’t want the auxes to recall (though sometimes I do), maybe some of these things could be set as a “filter” that chooses whether or not to recall it, just like the preamp currently is. And then by default have everything set to recall (having to toggle on the preamp setting every time I turn on the console drives me crazy!).
+1 I would love to be able to control the HPF/LPF from the EQ screen. Yes, I understand they are at a different place in the signal path, but it certainly slows things down having to switch back and forth.
Agreed, I would love the option of “Context Aware” knobs.
