I have the GLD-80 on a sequencer. A furman key operated one actually. I could and probably will set all of the sequence times so that the system doesn’t crack on turn on when the AR units sync after 40 seconds or so, But it’s really annoying since everything was OK in firmware 1.01 and got un OK later.
I have bunches of digital mixer installations large and small, Some of them are 10 years old and are being upgraded.
I don’t read any other message boards. I read this one, cause after one year it’s a work in progress.
Why aren’t the outputs of all units muted until sync is complete then checked against the systems recalled state mute list before unmuting?
Why do I have to ask that question on the message board?

A couple of things that are true:
The people at A&H pay some attention to this board
The don’t edit it (very admirable behavior)
They seem to be working hard on extending the reach and reliability
of this productUs early adopters have dealt with a bumpy roll out

No freezes here.
I’m wondering about power, cabling and I/O box issues for you.
I hope you can solve this in a provable way so that it’s behind you.

2013/07/10 at 11:03 pm #34400bigbeanParticipantHave had mostly drops in Aviom IEMs but also less frequently on the mains. Roughly one incidence per 6 hours of use. I haven’t updated to 1.2 yet. Our FOH team are fader and mute folks who memorize a preset for each song during rehearsal as a starting point during performance.

2013/06/18 at 3:28 am #34257bigbeanParticipantThis is a good idea.
Maybe they could use a fast flash that would time out on the member channels or an alternating select/mix led fast flash.
(It would be a nice effect during the Christmas season and children would dig it. This is probably why I like it[])
But seriously, it’s a good idea.

2013/06/15 at 3:27 am #34243bigbeanParticipantI agree that since you can’t roll back the Ipad update it’s best to have the firmware first but there should have been a big hairy asterisk on the web page before you got to the download. It could be removed after things synchronized. This could be a big time waster and blood pressure raiser for some. This kind of thing causes you to lose cred with your peeps for no good reason.

2013/06/09 at 9:50 pm #34173bigbeanParticipantI’ve encountered volume weirdness as well.
This morning during plugin/tuning the level (direct from pedal board) in my avioms (direct out to the avioms) was great until they recalled the first song preset, the level (in my ears) then dropped about 9 db. No one changed the the gain settings and the input gain is the same on all the presets. Later (different preset) the
ac guitar dropped. The guys who mix FOH don’t change anything but fader levels. I didn’t have the ability to sus this out during the service and there are a lot of variables but I think this could be a mixer issue. This kind of thing has happened before but not often. If I can recreate this in a measurable way I’ll post about it.

Had June intro of offline editing confirmed by a A&H person (shh…. it’s our secret)
Other cool things for this part of the A&H product line coming, as well.
