OK, drag and drop now works in Control. Also naming works as described.
Will await start and end channel numbers become active on a future update.
Would love to see a full screen option.

Thanks Simon, thought I did something wrong with the channel naming. I will try your suggestions tonight.
However, drag and drop does not seem to work for me, but I will try again tonight & see & if still and issue will enter a support ticket.

Maybe just restarting the editor will help or perhaps re-installing it. We shall see.

OH, also in “Control” to set up the fader banks, I can delete a channel, but cannot drag it back or replace it with a different channel. Channels will not drag as on console.
Kinda frustrating not to be able to do what is easy to do on the console.
BTW am using GLD editor completely off line, no network or wired connection to the GLD console.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

    Dennis:
OK, check to see you have the latest firmware update and newest iPad Remote. If yes to both, try tremoving reinstalling the iPad Remote from your iPad. If you still hve an issue with the same two channels, try plugging your keyboard into a different mono channel. For the computer RCA input (45-46?), do you have EQ, etc control on the GLD surface? If so, sounds like asoftware glitch for iPad Remote, OR a wireless router problem. Try a different router and see.
This is like finding a bad channel on an anologe system, change out one thing in the line and test until you find the bad connection.
    Good luck.

    A GLD112 would solve your issue….

I did find a vendor for the ME-1’s and bought 6 of them. They are like an Aviom on steriods! Very nice units.

I also have had some volume change issues and I am not using any scene changes. About an hour into the show all the levels will drop about 5-10 db, then go back up later on, then back down. Very weird. Started after upgrade 1.1x. still happening after 1.20. Have tried to chase it down and it seems to maybe at the AR2412, but could be the GLD. It is as if all the gains suddenly change up or down together….Working with my AH rep on it. Can’t use the system until this is fixed.

Well my volume issues are back with vengeance. As my A&H rep suggested, I reset the GLD to factory defaults, replaced the snake with a A&H approved one, rebuilt my show from the factory templates. Everything was OK for about the first 45 minutes or so, then I noticed a 5-10db drop in volume in both the mains, a monitor wedge (mixed by an ME-1) and also in the ME-1’s on stage.
Later after I had push everything up in volume (not gain or Trim) to compensate, there was a sudden increase in volume (I think gain) which then caused the floor wedge to start feeding back. The mic was then so hot, it took only tapping it lightly to cause the beginning of feedback. Prior to the gig starting this was not so, no feed back, plenty of volume. There were no changes to anything on stage that could have cause this. It was as if the gain on all the mics was suddenly increased. Then once I thought it had settled down, volumes went down again…Very weird & frustrating.
I found this issue happening on 2 different Cat5 snakes, with 2 different bands in different venues, using different speaker systems and even with different mic cords to the mains. Power was never an issue in any of the venues.

This has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had mixing sound! Could not for the life of me account for these changes. Where I most noticed it was in the vocals, but it also in the other instruments. Everyone using the ME-1’s with earbuds also reported a volume drop. I could not find the issue on the 24 track recording I made via MMO ADAT outs. This makes me suspect a problem with AR2412, that maybe it goes haywire after it has warmed up for 45 minutes or so. The fan on the 2412 seems to be working OK. This problem started after the firmware upgrade 2 prior to 1.20. (I don’t remember the number).
So I have written to my A&H rep to see what is next. The mixer is unusable with current functioning.
BTW does anyone know how to read a downloaded GLD log file in windows? Kinda hard to read on the console, would rather print it out & make notes, etc.

OK so I am not crazy after all. Well, not about this issue at least…the voices told me to say that!
So, last night again the volume drop happened, and in addition, ene tho I had the mains at -10, I was getting peak red lights on the mains every once in a while. Very weird. This started about 1/2 way through the 2nd set after the volume drop. The drummer will often over drive his mic briefly but this has never caused the mains to indicate an red light! And not only did the mains red light, but also the fx send and returns.. I suspect there main be a problem with the AR2412, maybe after it gets warm, it’ will start to malfunction in weird ways..
I will watch for this again tonight..same band, same venue. I left everything as it was at the end of the night and believe the system will be much louder on start up than it was at the end of the night.
What are you going to do about this on your GLD? I will be contacting my local rep and or a trouble ticket to A&H.

I was going to update to 1.2, but will wait until an compatable update of Remote is avaiable. Kinda poor planning from A&H. Both should have been released at the same time. [:(]

Do you mean that the power to the amps starts 15 seconds after power tp the amps?
If so, you should set the delay until after the GLD fully boots up, say 90 seconds or so. That way there is little chance that the GLD boot up will send a signal to the amps as it boots.

I do not have an auto boot up power sequencer in my system, so I wait until the GLD and AR2412 are booted up and communicating before I power up the amps. Never have any pops or squealing.

You are probably getting feedback in the monitors before the end of the GLD boot up can apply the EQ settings to the monitors, etc.

    All
So after resetting GLD to factory defaults and rebuilding my shows, the weird sudden volume changes were gone and the system worked perfectly!! Thanks to Ryan at American Sound & Lights and everyone else who made helpful suggestions.
I am greatly relieved that this is behind me.

    Mike:
It would seem to me you should set Digital Performer to slave as GLD is master. Try that and see if the pops and clicks go away,,,,
