Here’s a another dumb thought, but does the camera itself have a audio input balance setting?
2020/12/22 at 2:57 pm #97554Mike C: I am aware that OBS only accepts ch 1-2. Prior to SQ newest firmware update, I could assign any SQ ch from 1-32 via usb-B. After the firmware update, only SQ pairs 1-2, 2, 3-4, 5-6 & 7-8 appeared in Windows or OBS.
I want to send audio via SQ chs 31-32 to OBS 1-2.After my first post here, I installed the AH AISO driver on my stepsons Win10 laptop and all 32 chs showed up. Yes!
Today I am going to Augustana Lutheran (Portland) where this issue appeared last Sunday and reinstall the AISO plugin in their laptop and see if that fixes the issue. They are live-streaming their services on YouTube with their SQ and PTZOPTICS cameras.
I had originally recc a QU for them, but when I bought my own SQ, I had them switch out for a SQ6. Much superior mixer.
Dr Rick2020/12/21 at 5:31 am #97511I am getting the same thing only 4 pairs of channels. Used to get 32. Anyone have an answer to this?

Thanks for your response. I think you are correct and my understanding is that Global Direct Out settings only affect the DO, not insert sends. Insert sends are post preamp, so no processing, mutes, faders, etc. Because digital boards are allowing more and more options, we have to check each time we set up a gig recording that you have all the settings the way we want them. So we have to measure 15 times and cut once….I do wish the QU had the ability to set up the mixer on a PC as my GLD does.Dr Rick

Bummer. Thanks for the clarification
Rick2018/03/07 at 5:43 pm #69430Thanks for your feedback Gary & Giga. I have solved the mystery!!!!! When I realized (after much staring at the ceiling at 2am) that there were only some of the channels affected not all, I took inventory of those affected and lo and behold, they were all condenser mics. Upon checking those channels between scenes in the QU show, I noticed that the thing that changed is the phantom power settings for those channels between scenes. Some scenes (when those mics were active FOH) phantom power was on and in scenes where I thought I had only muted those condenser mic channels, phantom power was also turned off for those channels.
So OPERATOR ERROR.
As they say, the devil is in the details. One more thing to be sure to check when setting up scenes.

It is my understanding that to record dry multi-tracks (no processing), you select insert sends rather than direct out and then it matters not whether follow mutes or follow faders are selected in the global direct out page. If I am wrong about this, please correct me.2018/03/06 at 9:03 pm #69407Usb was/is set to insert sends, not direct out. So fader and mutes should not have affected the recording, BUT it DID, but not on all channels. That is my dilemma. Have check ed all channels on each scene and all are set for insert sends. Fader and mute should not have affected the recording at all………..???

Yes checked that for all scenes and the channel sources are always DSnake, no changes between scenes. Same for USB data always insert send, never direct out. So, my understanding is that the global direct out parameters (follow fade and mute) should not affect the local usb or usbb recording. Am I right about that?2018/03/06 at 3:38 pm #69392OK, have looked further into this and discovered that it is only SOME of the 18 tracks where the scene mutes affected the recording on those tracks. Other tracks recorded straight through, FOH settings not affecting the recording. Can post the show file, if anyone thinks this will help.
FYI, my usual way to live record is using my GLD 80 with an MMO card to a JoeCo 24 track recorder. Always works fine, but again, have not used in conjunction with scenes.2015/07/06 at 7:12 pm #49137How many monitor mixes do you need? Andres is right, the ME-1 is a great solution, eliminates need for a console on stage. One for each monitor mix with access to all mixer input channels. If needed, you can plug the mono output through an analog EQ.
Another alternative would be to get a router and iPad and control the monitors via the iPad. I use one at every gig to fine tune monitors on stage. Works great!
2015/05/15 at 3:00 pm #48011Any chance these might work on a GLD? I downloaded your QU files, but GLD Editor does not see them…
2015/04/18 at 5:44 pm #47112Yep, reloading GLDRemote to iPad fixed it. Thanks Mark! 🙂
2015/04/18 at 3:45 pm #47103OK, will try that & let you know if that fixes it.
2015/04/18 at 1:37 pm #47093I updated GLD to 1.5 and GLD remote to 1.5, running IOS 8.3 on newer iPad with Retina display. GLD remote could see the console, got to user page, but when I selected Admin log in (I do not have any other users, no password) every time it shut down the iPad application. Could not log in at all.
I have not yet re-installed GLD Remote on the iPad, but will try that next. Very frustrating, had no problems with this prior to update to 1.5……..
Any suggestions? -
