Would love not to have to “burn” an aux just to put talkback in the monitors. I have better uses for that aux. I would love if we could either make TB a routable channel to the ME, or even better just let me assign TB to ME like another bus in the TB menu (not sure if that cooperates with how the ME works)

We moved to Avantis from an X32 (huge upgrade), and needing to acquire iPads for our frontline vocalists, then keeping those iPads straight as to which is assigned to which pack, sometimes having to redo the configuration in OneMix, and needing the admin login to do that. It’s a pain in the rear, and an Avantis4You would be amazing. iPhone and Android both, please.

UPDATE to our issue:

We sent ours in to the distributer for repair. They replaced both fader boards and fixed a couple other smaller issues under warranty. Faders are all working smooth and consistent now. So our stuck faders were due to a component failure, it appears. Will update if that changes

Would love for ME1 to be an assignable destination for the talkback in the next Avantis update. It’s very annoying to me that I have to jump through hoops and use up both an aux bus and a ME channel to be able to talk to half of my band

Calibration seems to help, but we still get faders stuck periodically.

Is there any recommendation on cleaning faders? I still think this may be a contamination issue (and yes, we use the dust cover)

I’m having the same problem with our ME1’s. We’re on firmware 1.17, and I can’t get them to recognize any of the drives I have on hand. I’ve tried 32GB and 1GB FAT32 drives both as-is, wiped, and with an empty folder named “ME1.” I’m trying to copy the config over to an ME1 we recently got back from warranty.

The 32GB drives aren’t recognized at all, and the 1GB drive is recognized, but the ME freezes whenever I try to save anything to it (preset or congig).

This is really frustrating, especially since this has clearly been an issue for many firmwares and hasn’t been addressed by A&H, even though it sounds like the solution is in-hand with the QU software.

I contacted A&H support about this, but when I went to get video, the stuck fader unstuck itself. So, I ran all of the fader calibrations and moved on. So far, so good. We must have had something stuck in there. Does anyone have good rec’s on fader cleaning protocols?

+1, would love to be able to stack compressors in this way. We do it for broadcast in ProTools, and would love to do it in FOH without having to wait until we can afford Waves integration
