Then I pressed the setup button …
Freeze.

Unbelievable, same thing happened to me today…
SQ5, Multitrack recording, RTA Overlay on,
After 3 hours the screen got frozen…

As Matthew has written, I was also able to stop the recording…

Every thing is working but the graphics of the screen got stopped…

I did some latency measurements and got the same result with 280 micro seconds = 0,28ms.
I do not own the deep processing plugins, so I insertet any FX, then close the wet path and open only the DRY path.
So I can confirm your measurements!

Thank you for the profound answer.
With this Background i can easily understand why it’s not implemented.
becouse when i’ve a look at commercial Faderwings – it can ba so hard to get a working connection.

I can understand your intention behind the firmware match.

nothing the less it would be fine to have IP working with the SQ Series.
I think A&H would also be happy to sell the IP8 to SQ Users – that’s your Job 😉

Meanwhile we have to do an workaround to get an Fader expansion.

Hi Jline,

Yes this is normal – and comes from the analog Consoles.

It’s called VCA (Voltage controlles Amplifier) -> see the Block Diagramm.
There was no need for Motorfaders so the Channelfader could not move… 😉

overwrite or delete some patching points is very easy..
Some kind of warning would be great.
And in the setup menu a box to disable this warnings for those who want the “hot patching” as it is actually….
