Hello,
If I understand correctly, there is no way to query individual parameters via midi on the Qu series (as is possible with the SQ, for example)?
I think that’s a big limitation.
My tests with the command “GET SYSTEM STATE” showed that the transmission simply takes too long.
It is possible to do this once at the start of a session, but I always have to save the entire state + all changes made externally (e.g. on the Surface itself or via other remote devices).

I don’t have the resources for this – and I don’t want to create the storage structure.

Would it be possible to get an extension in the course of a firmware update?

Hi Riker,

I assume Local Input 9 is routed to the Insert Return of your Vocal Channel Strip AND in the same time as Input to your Channel Strip 9.
So on Channel 9 you get the Return also to your Main Out. But that’s nonsense. (At least in your case, and also most of the time, maybe it make sense in some little use cases…)

The best is to unassign the Input to Channel 9, because the return is already patched back in your Vocal channel

I was told to set up the SQ6 (with the Dante card) as “Clock-Master”, and the DM0 as slave.
Because in the manual of the SQ is written:

When connecting to another system or 3rd party audio network (such as Dante or Waves), one master clock source on the network should be determined and all other units should synchronise to it.

Is this necessary, or a better solution?

@jgrift: In “normal” mode, the Dante card in the SQ6 is my preferred Master, and the “Enable Sync To External” is checkt, because the clock of the SQ6 is set to “internal”. But in this setup it will be set to “sLink”

Maybe you configured the Bus as a Monobus.

Goto “Setup -> Mixer Config -> Mix Stereo”
define you group as Stereo, and anything should be fine!

If I got it right, between V1.2 and V1.3 some routing points for Monitoring and PAFL were created via Firmware update.
The block diagram changed massively, so I don’t think that these nodes exist in V1.2

So as I can see – there is a way to build these patching tap offs via firmware…

Maybe it’s not an technical questions if this feature request will be implemented or not.

Hi EJC,

There are 12 configurable paths (mix 1-12)
AND 4 paths that went directly to FX Slot 1 to 4.

The question is, why it’s not possible to route this 4 busses via the matrix to ANY destination?!?
Precisely because the SQ is extremely flexible in terms of routing…
however, the flexibility has reached a limit here (possibly due to a marketing strategy ?!?)

because Avantis & dlive should offer free bus configuration…

But let’s hope 😉

Would be nice to use all the internal FX slots for Insert processing, and doing the reverbs, Delays external (where adding some latency is not the problem…)
