But of course, the BEST is to use DI-Boxes. But you’ll need still the Y-cable to split the Stereo Signal into 2 Mono Signals (Stereo TRS -> 2x Mono TRS)
2021/06/30 at 5:52 am #102133Hi Nemydom,
you got the phase cancellation because you used a stereo Jack Output, for an balanced Input:
Tip (Left Signal) -> +
Ring (Right Signal) -> –
Shleeve -> GNDThe low frequencies are mostly “Mono” so they canceld out! While the GEM is doing stereo on the upper Freq!
The D’Addario PW-P047Z adapter is a STEREO to MONO adapter, and is shortening the minus of the balanced input to GND, and L+R Signal will go to the hot input.
-> so you loose Stereo.Better is a Y-cable like it is used for inserts!

Last page in this document, you can see how many physical analog or digital outputs you can get.
https://www.allen-heath.com/media/SLinkConnections_V1_5_0.pdf
To this connections you can route evereything you need.the SQ series has a 36 bBs structure (Mix 1-12, FX 1-4, LR, 3x MTx, Monitor..)

2021/06/27 at 12:42 pm #102088What’s the problem about stereo width control on Mix Busses like it’s available on Stereo Inputs?
Do you think there are operating errors, because of the stereo width control on the inputs?
On the GUI is at Mixes and Groups Tab exact the space empty, where this controls sit on the inputs.
So in my opinion it would be absolut LOGICAL to have there the same feature…When I decide to use this bus in stereo, then i decide to have the same control as it is at the inputs…
The SQ is really a powerful consol – operating errors can occur everywhere…
So why this “Warning” of this feature?greetings,
dd2021/06/21 at 3:41 pm #102004Have a look at Reference Guide v1.5 page 55.
FX add-ons are on page 56
There are the same FX pre installed on every console, no matter which type!Greetings,
dd2021/06/21 at 3:37 pm #102003Hi Westpower,
Sure you can do it with an group.
Just unassign the group form LR (in the routing tab) and then assign this group to the Aux you’re using for stream!Works very well!

dd2021/06/20 at 8:58 pm #101992Who is Dante Master?
Card or Stagebox?Is the Dantecard switched to 48kHz?
2021/06/16 at 9:27 pm #101930Today, doing Live Sound + Streaming on the SQ, i faced another use case of this feature.
LR => Stream (so the Main mix was the Stream mix)
Grps => Aux => PA
So i used some Grps with thier EQ for some mics to adjust to the PA, without changing the sound of the Stream.I wanted to use a wide panning for some mic’s in the Stream, but not for the PA.
With the requested Stereo width control in the Grp bus it would be no problem to create a “more mono” signal for the PA!

2021/05/03 at 9:06 pm #101087You mean some thing like this?
Maybe A&H should offer some OSC support for their products.
Then it would be easier for some great and genius people to create such “useful” tools for A&H products…
But it seams this wouldn’t be…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KrnkYoPwvY

dd2021/05/03 at 8:56 pm #101086Hi highflyer,
I think, the small significant thing is called “Mix-Button”.On the SQ you have 12 Mix-Buttons – fixed to 1-12 and nothing more.
So a Layout with 13 Busses won’t work. 😉2021/05/02 at 7:48 pm #101071Hi Soundguybob!
You can route every Aux Send Bus (1-12) to more than one effect unit.

2021/04/04 at 9:53 am #100397The input gain will never be changed or effected by the AMM.
You can see the AMM as an additional fader for the cahnnel!
