    Short tip on Mix/FX Button -> switch to that mix (and signal that) until another one is tipped or after a configurable time of user inactivity.

    Holding of Mix Button -> switch to that Mix but jump Back to main Mix immediately when the Mix/FX Button is released.

    Hi,
    only for your Information:

    I’m doing recordings with 48kHz directly to my 1TB Seagate SSD via USB3.

    Now I’ve done over 50 Recordings, most of the time the duration is over 1h.

    Never had any problems.

    The most critical thing is the routing in the IO Tap! But you have to check the levels in the recording Tap or in the “Meter” -> “USB” Tap.
    I think this is very important to recheck the routing via the metering!

    When I’m doing critical recording’s I use also the Dante card to record on the Laptop.

    Hope that you’ll get every track in future!
    All the best,
    dd

    Hi,
    At least the Android Version of Mixpad can show 16 channel Faders.

    Go to: Setup, then MixPad.
    see the picture.

    Hi Soundave,

    But hold in mind:
    If the outputs to your PA (in your case Left, Right, Sub) won’t be a the same physical device (same Stagebox or the same mixer) there will be added some latency because the digital path via S-Link will take some time…

    So there WON’T be Phase Coherence between your Sub’s an Top’s.

    But maybe it won’t make that much …
    (it’s micro seconds)
    It depends on your setup.

    Greetings

    greetings.

    But at the routing tab, the first value is the fader of the selected channel or mix.

    OK it’s without decimal point, but you can use the touch and turn knob, and adjust the value…

    Or am I wrong?

    Und auf’s Neue: Antwort vui daneben… ;)!

    In my understanding, CameronProAudio want’s to know if outputs are use either active circuitry on both the hot and cold
    lines so both have equal voltage but in opposite polarity, or using an “impedance balanced” (only Resistor to Ground) topology.

    I think technically both are electronically balanced…

    So your answer is nonsense…

    Hi Westpower,

    as Søren allready said, you can use a Matrix for the stream.
    And to this Matrix you can route different Aux mixes.

    Then you can control with one Aux-Mix a set of channels and when this aux is pre-fade you can also set their channel level indepented to you main LR.

    Maybe this is a way for your setup.

    I/O Status would be a nice control feedback!

    example:
    I often use 2 DX168 in daisychain.
    There is already an icon in the SQ screen, if (at least one) stagebox is connectet.

    In the patching window (IO) I can see a streamlined square on the connections which are set (because i want them) but one of the stageboxes aren’t connectet.
    In this case the icon in the upper screen can be for example RED to warn me – the is an audio connection NOT possible to establish!
    It’s similar to Midas Pro Series “Status” indicator.

    So only if all audio connections are made, die IO icon will apper in green…

    I think this can give the feeling of “everything is safe with my audio network” to the user!
    A least for me this would be a handy and useful thing!

    thanks,
    dd

    Hi Will,

    Yes it’s a good idea to record the group! No problem with the SQ.
    To do so, you don’t need tie lines, you route the Output of the group to USB.

    Tie Lines are only for incoming signals, to use the without processing. But you want to record the entire Drum group, mixed an processed, so you go to “Output” in the IO Screen and there you have all your mixes an group to route everywhere you want!

    Hi Keith,
    thx for your answer.

    The reason for the question:
    want to use Dante DVS + Mixpad on the same Laptop.
    i thought to use the ethernet port of the PC for dante, and the USB for mixpad…

    => so i have to enable the control network bridge…

    greetings,

    But of course, the BEST is to use DI-Boxes. But you’ll need still the Y-cable to split the Stereo Signal into 2 Mono Signals (Stereo TRS -> 2x Mono TRS)

    Hi Nemydom,

    you got the phase cancellation because you used a stereo Jack Output, for an balanced Input:

    Tip (Left Signal) -> +
    Ring (Right Signal) -> –
    Shleeve -> GND

    The low frequencies are mostly “Mono” so they canceld out! While the GEM is doing stereo on the upper Freq!

    The D’Addario PW-P047Z adapter is a STEREO to MONO adapter, and is shortening the minus of the balanced input to GND, and L+R Signal will go to the hot input.
    -> so you loose Stereo.

    Better is a Y-cable like it is used for inserts!
