    That’s a great looking box.

It’s an ipad air with ios 12. I also have a few ipad 3’s with ios 9. All are at their maximum ios numbers. The version of Onemix on the Apple Store is only for ios 14 and above. If it was possible to get the older version that would be great.

I’ve been in touch with the Mixing Station developer and the beta version of Mixing Station for iLive is due out in the next few weeks, so that is another option.

Thanks Nicola. I found that someone has been able to get an iLive iDR32 to talk to an SQ series via the sLink. Obviously the dedicated units you mention are the best options but they’re not options open to me in the timeframe I’m constrained with. That’s why I asked in the first place. I may have to become familiar with the iPad app …

    Thanks Chris,

Does this mean that if I fit a m-Dante card to my Mixrack and load up the software on the PC that’s providing the video stream that I can connect the two via a CAT 5 cable and pick up the streamed audio without any delay? What about linking the streaming laptop and the laptop using iLive Editor connected to the mixrack and using Dante Via on both laptops?

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I’m using a Numark MP103 CD/usb player and a Laptop for mixing. Usually the shows we do are ‘ad-hoc’ with people turning up with backing tracks on CD, mp3 etc.

I want to be able to play from the laptop or MP103 over the cat5 or wifi to the mixrack at the front. I already use a really good wifi hub for connecting an iPad, for monitor set up etc, which could possibly be utilised.

Although that sounds like a good idea, I can be using up to 12 AKG and
Line 6 digital mic transmitters at one time plus the iPad wifi. The more devices on the wifi frequencies the higher the dropout risk and the shorter the range. I’m reluctant to add any more wifi traffic if I can help it.

There are cheap home hi fi ‘converters’ which allow audio, probably analogue, to be sent over cat5, could that interfere with the mixrack control if I used the same cable?

Yes connecting to the surface is what I do in the main Church installation, but in the smaller venues I just use the laptop or ipad to mix.

I don’t want to use those ‘wifi’ 2.4 and 5.8ghz audio transmitters you can get as I use a number of digital wireless mics which use the same frequencies.
