Yes, I agree it’s frustrating. Having previously owned an ILive system where it was possible to recall the different Geq’s without affecting the EQ curve, I assume that it would be easy to implement.

if i save a show using deep plugins how will this recall on another desk without plugins installed? will deep compressor/geq settings be recalled using standard comp/geq?

it seems that this recent update to the firmware hasn’t pleased everybody but its clear to see the immense amount of work that has gone into this update to implement support for the new S-link and waves cards, pfl buss routing, streamlined I/O patching, improved App functionality and the widely anticipated DEEP plugins(which appear to be going online shortly as web maintenance is underway) I, like many others am slightly disappointed at the lack of HPF on mix outs, mono matrix options etc however i am optimistic that these will follow in future updates and more important features have been prioritised this time around. Rather than be negative about whats not yet been added i thinks its important to appreciate what A&H have done so far, there are many features added that HAVE been requested by many users.

Great work A&H team, thanks for the hard work so far…long may it continue

great news, re deep plug ins- for those of us with more than one sq – will we have to purchase separately for each desk or will we be able to purchase a licence to enable us to activate on all registered products?

Hey Keith,

a definite +1 when voting for an SQ-pac. it would be the perfect backup desk for us SQ converts. I have replaced all of our desks with the SQ series (they sound freaking awesome!) plus DX168s and S-link cards ordered for FOH/mon splits – waves card and waves server in the pipeline when funds permit! so taken to the product in a big way! the ability to carry a spare desk in a small flightcase (minimal Van space!) would be great. if a beer or Cider (do a lot of Cider festivals) was spilt into one of the desks I could swap it out recall the show and carry on. I am sure the qu-pac is also great but its the recall of an SQ show on the back up mixer that would be the HUGE selling point for me.

PS really loving the SQs – fantastic products! loving your work sirs!

Hi Lancruza,

AFAIK the DX168 cant be on the same s-link connection due to the sample rate of the DX being 96khz and the ME1/500 can only process at 48khz. A firmware update wont help, the restriction is that the SRC on each S-link connection cannot run multiple sample rates at the same time. Add an S-link card and use separate connections for each device to solve the problem.

I use a Qu-16 carry case. It’s snug, but perfect when you need to transport without resorting to a full on flightcase.

I have had 7 x musicians using sq4you app controlling in ear monitors plus my ipad running mixpad app successfully with all connections stable, 3rd gig in and all seems good!

Hi Guys,

thanks for the responses, it does appear to be specific to the EQ gain knob – if i select the gain for use with the main parameters rotary it functions as expected.

Alex @ A&H – i have taken a short video to demonstrate and will email the link to video once i have uploaded to youtube

Hi Keith,

am i right in thinking that the deep processing can only be inserted on input channels?

it would be great to be able to use the new comps and the GEQs on the L R master output too.
