Just to be clear, the data to be saved within SQ4U is all the parameters of the respective aux (fader location, pan, AUX master channel strip settings…) WITHOUT the aux channel number. Please…
This together with 24 x mono auxes would make the board unbeatable…

There is already a different LED color for AUX and Group. One could add a third color, like orange for the AUX1R and keep AUX1L green…

I tried with OpenVPN (both Windows and Android). Mixer is not discovered, but I can connect with manually specifying the IP address. Unfortunately, only the initial connection works, then no update is received and the app disconnects.

What @Dude means is a client (SQ4U) feature that can save/store the selected Aux’s faders/pans position on the client phone/tablet, then with a recall it (SQ4U) sends the stored fader/pan position update to the mixer for the specific Aux. Definitely not as expensive as a ME-*…

Maybe the Line inputs are not the best via Windows (directsound), we had 2 short dropouts last Sunday during our livestream. The hunt for the pipeline resumes.

Driver update solved my issue. OBS can hear the plain line input now. Will continue to investigate with gstreamer though, as it has a LOT of potential…

Just to be clear, gst-device-monitor-1.0.exe also shows the directsound Line input from the SQ which I could get to work, I just did not include it in the OP, as I would like to get around directx or any windows relatedness.

I might have missed the updated Windows drivers, will definitely give them a try first as I will be happy if the native Windows way will work in OBS, so multitrack recording via ASIO can work in another application… At least for now.

Maybe I misunderstood that gstreamer is capable of capturing the stream from the desk as interleaved audio (?) so all channels can land in OBS, and extraction of any specific channels could be possible, so then L+R could be on channel 31, 32 and OBS would be able to hear them without ASIO.

Very welcomed, at least from me! One more question here, most notebooks have an ethernet port already on a pcie bus. Could that be used? (Dante has a similar virtual sound card, but it requires Dante card in the SQ). Drum VST-s could send multitrack without using up precious channels AND without unnecessary DA-AD conversions.
