Yes! Here too, every day longing for more midi implementation in editor. Select, mix, softkeys, tap tempo, eq parameters…… would be sweet!

Hey there.
This may sound a bit obvious but I missed it the first time so I’ll share:
Make sure you are connecting the wan port of the airport (has a different symbol than the other four) to the ilive.
This made the difference for me. Connecting to a regular switch port alone seems to disable the dhcp functionality.

Ah, I reach too far. My goal is to have IDR stageside and run everything between stage and FOH over Cat cable. Hence the desire to eliminate any regular audio connections on the FOH side. I have no analog IO on that side and would love to keep it that way. Otherwise the Arx would indeed be a great solution.

Lieven you have a point about installing on someone elses laptop, although most of the laptops tend to be macbook pros from the event company I work for.

Biggsounds, I am saddened to hear that windows system audio is not playing well with DVS, any experience with systemaudio on mac?

The airport extreme is great and I have one. I wanted to see how slim I could make my personal mix setup, hence the old Airport Express, it’s so tiny and handy. Hmm I wonder if it can handle ilive editor and airtunes simultaneously…..

What am I thinking! I have Dante

I have to test the Extreme and see how well it deals with Dante coming from a gigabit switch and editor/ipad wirelessly.

Please allow editor to access the same parameters as surface in softkey simulation.
Please more midi control options, particularly: select, mix, aux send and all softkeybuttons, also talkback!
Make editor remember windows settings of scene.

Thanks Ray I did save the layout as a scene. But it made no difference. The scene is recalled with settings, mutes, levels etc. but the layout and position of my windows is reset. Fxrack windows closed, softkeys window closed etc.
This is making me feel somewhat dense.

Biggsounds, you were totally accurate in your prediction. First gig with IDR32, macbookpro and mixpad both running wireless over wimpy airport express and Akai LPD8 for essential Mutes and masters.
Believe me I was apprehensive. But after my third round out in the audience, constantly being able to pinpont the little differences not audible at FOH I was completely sold.
Not to mention tuning monitors and monitor mixes side by side with bandmembers. Not a single hiccup or surprise. I love this concept!
