What macOS version are you using? Could you try with a different laptop?
I’ve just tried this on Sonoma and Safari unzips the file automatically upon download, saving the correct .d64 file in the Downloads folder and nothing else.

    Hi Abe,

We certainly have NTP logged as a request. We are currently researching this with the intention of implementing on the AHM matrix processors first. Part of the complexity is that NTP does not provide local time, but only an absolute time reference which needs to be interpreted according to local time zone and daylight saving settings. These tables and rules change regularly and on a phone or PC, the settings are updated automatically, but that relies on an Internet connection. We could alternatively bundle these in each firmware update, however that creates more complexity for release build and software test. Either way the AHM or dLive will need access to an NTP server either on the local network, or on the Internet.

NB – Although we monitor this forum regularly, please use our Support channels for direct questions to A&H.

Steffen is correct, you will need Dante Controller for initial set up of routing and Dante clock settings. Yes latency is slightly higher (default 1ms, min 250us, while DX is under 100us). Perhaps obvious but you will need a Dante card in the SQ to connect to a DT168.

Is the DM0 being restarted in between Director sessions and if so, is there a Startup Scene set?
Also make sure no other devices are connected on the same network that could potentially interfere with the settings, such as iPads etc.

Yes, you can still pan sources.
The advantage of stereo channels is that they occupy a single key on the ME-500 so more sources to the mix overall.

    Hi Scott,

All the options you mentioned are valid (ME-U with Dante, Aviom D400, or second Cat5 from SLink).
I would say the Aviom hub would limit the ME-500 to 16 mono channels. With the ME-U or SLink route, the ME-500 can take up to 16 mono OR stereo channels (by reading the stereo information from the mixer or the hub). There are more advantages if you later decide to integrate one or more ME-1, such as auto channel naming and grouping of up to 40 channels from Dante or SLink.

Since you mention sound quality. When connected to an Aviom hub the ME-500s will use the Aviom clock, this can have a slight impact on overall sound quality. Probably not as major as the difference in DACs and headphone amps between ME and the A320, but worth mentioning.

    Hi Zero,

The IP Controller firmware doesn’t follow the same release numbers as the AHM firmware. For example, AHM V1.42 include IP firmware V1.32. It looks like your controllers are already on latest available firmware which explains why they are not being updated.

If you’re having connection issues, please open a Support ticket at support.allen-heath.com. In the first instance I would check IP addresses / DHCP conflicts and also check the ‘inhibit’ option is selected for IP Controller in System Manager. This prevents offline instances of System Manager from connecting to physical IP Controllers, which sometimes can cause conflict with a physical AHM processor also targeting the same units.

    Hi Kade,

The DES-1210-28P is a managed switch. It will likely need some configuration to disable protocols and services and troubleshooting. If you cannot disable the Green features, these might well affect audio (they are known to be problematic with other audio protocols such as Dante). A safer bet would be an unmanaged, 100Mbps PoE switch.

Also make sure the total PoE budget can serve the number of ME-1 units you need. The datasheet says 193W which will not power more than 12-13 units despite the number of PoE ports.

    Hi Andia,

If using separate network adapters, make sure the Network Bridge on the card is in the off position so the two networks are kept separate.
Are you using latest versions of DVS and Dante Controller?

This should be possible. Make sure your control is a dLive/Avantis Rotary, Control Type ‘Pan’ and Level Type ‘Send Level’. You should then have options for the channel and destination.

Aaron, rest assured we take quality very seriously and have made significant steps forward on the longevity of faders and fader boards by working with the supplier to continuously improve the design.

The authentication is only required for the TLS/SSL connection. With the TCP connection on port 51325, no authentication is required. I would suggest using this port first, to test and verify control messages, before moving on to a secure connection if needed.
All of the apps you listed should be able to communicate with your AHM without the MIDI Control driver in between.
Make sure you’re referencing the latest TCP protocol from https://www.allen-heath.com/hardware/ahm/ahm-32/resources/ and give us some examples of hex strings you’re trying to send.

Do you have a link or version for the driver you have installed? You might be trying to install a legacy version. The current version should be available for installation and activation through the latest Waves Central.
