It would be very cool to be able to do this, just like how the Presonus Metro system works…

    Feature Request?

After using our SQ5 for a year I have already outgrown my hunger for matrices. Please , we could use six. Is there a work around for Sub, Foyer, Cry room, Listening assist, Streaming/Recording, overflow room ? These all could use there own processing needs, but mostly follow the the main LR.

I’d use a Dante card if I were you and use a Dante network to route all these. Would be a good solution for your situation.

    Update:

I just went back about 10 mins later and it’s stopped and all is now acting as I expect it should – no flashing of the icon on the screen and the only the D-Snake LED flashing (monitor LED now off).

I presume it was pushing the FW update to the AR2412…

    Ohhhh!

    I think I see what’s happened.
It’s set to on for both inputs and outputs.

    Thank you Keith.

    Simon

P.s. I got by in the end without the need for it.

    Thank you Keith,

That’s really helpful. I asked in the FB group too and it was also the answer given by someone there.

I am considering moving over to a matrix for live stream duties rather than using an Aux but most of the users are volunteers of all shapes and sizes so trying to decide which will be best.

I was just about to ask if this was something that we could do with the SQ as I have the need for it. It would work really well in a church setting where the user logs in and it loads the default scene, but then they would make changes and save it into their OWN version of that scene which isn’t write-protected.

So here is my +1 for this request!

    +1 for this please!

I’ve been hearing about this sort of thing recently and I think it would be a fabulous addition to the add-on processing. I know it’s possible with some of the comps like the Opto (but not the 76), so would love to be able to do it with the DynEQ and MBC Keying similar frequency instruments like keys and electrics off of each other or the whole band off the vocals to help them cut through more.

    +1

This is exactly what I’ve been looking into recently!

I’ve thought about using LiveProfessor instead of waves, as I have the plugins but no soundgrid stuff but the theory would remain – if the plugin processing machine were to crash I would need a quick way to bypass all inserts.

(Mine is for a broadcast mix where latency is not an issue as it’s a separate desk)

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks! That’s helpful.
Yeah I’ve got a few other bits running such as a Mac Pro 5,1 and a couple of other bits such as some ubiquiti and cisco network devices.

Yes it has been a long time! I’ve not been on the BR much in the last decade.

Hope everything is well your end.

Thank you @volunteer, yes I’m aware of the purpose of the UPS, having been in the IT world for a long time, but it’s good that you point it out for everyone’s benefit.

I’ve since seen the 90W setting thank you, so my thinking that an APC Smart UPS 750VA will be fine to power it and a couple of computers for a little while.
It’s also to protect against surge for when power returns, as I had a Dell D6000 USB C hub lose all its USB ports yesterday and I think that happened at the “power-back-on” stage.
