If you have a dante card: https://www.klang.com/en/products/klang_quelle19
I use 3 of 4 channel version, POE, it works great.

For the same reason I can only patch I/O’s in I/O page, on the matrix, not in the processing/preamp section.
Director is a great tool, it has so much room to improve.
Layer selection buttons don’t need to be that small for the sake of mimicking a real surface. Make them a bigger and occupy the entire spot. I’m on a Dell XPS 18 and still not usable on 18″ screen.

    A few suggestions:
Dlive output patch “direct out”-“post preamp”, and its matrix is correctly configured.
Logic pro input channel list, accepting from DANTE network, arm the channels.
Is there a direct network cable in between your laptop and dante card?
    Where are you located Barry?

It is a 4x stereo channel Dante headphone amp.
Take a look. It might help in your case.

I couldn’t figure out how to setup the clock. I don’t have surface. Director + ipad only.

This has been requested since iLive era.
I believe it will happen when Elon M. launches his BFR to Mars.

I’m a new CDM32 owner, here is my experience after 2 days.

I started as surface-less user back in 2010 with IDR32 Tablet PC using stylus, then IPADs came. Got my 1st ipad, it was cool, then switched to ipad mini as soon as they were released. Ipad mini was way faster to work with because of its small size which translated to less travel distance for your fingers. All you needed was 2 thumbs.

iLive ipad app had this background color editing future, it was awesome to be able to customize RGB and alpha channel.

iLiveChannel strip & MIX buttons are on the middle right hand side which is very easy to reach out with your thumb.

The new dlive app doesn’t offer color customization. Bummer.

Why on the earth did you move ‘Processing”(channel) & “Routing”(Mix) all the way to the top which is very awkward movement you need to do while holding ipad mini with both hands? 2 thumbs operation on iLive app was perfectly possible, there is still available space on middle right side… Please move them back where they were in iLive app.

So, does that mean we will never have an interface where we can see majority of the faders like iLive’s default editor?

These are the items I’m so annoyed and not buying a Dlive system yet:

-No full scale fader view & ctrl on a computer screen
    -No RTA function on PEQ
-No openness to allow android platform developers to develop useful apps.

Probably I repeated the entire forum in 3 lines.

    Give us good news.

    Thank you.

I imagined MikeShand’s solution with aux/groups as a workout but, even in that case it doesn’t sound as a feasible solution.
The band I work with is a high end wedding/corporate one. Digico, waves, Vdrums, everybody in ears etc… I pitched DM64 to overcome their Digico channel/processing count and aviom necessities. Plus the minuscule footprint is a big sale. However, somebody from A&H needs to agree why we should be able to pick direct out points.

Also I’m curious how 3 cards will play all together in a DM64. Do you get to chose 1 of 3 cards outputs per channel or, how does that work? Anybody?

The system will be controlled by ipads and tablet PCs. If A&H is not expecting to release a working ipad app before the new year, that’s a bit upsetting.

One more thing: They have 2x shure ULXDQ receivers. I like to know how a 48Khz Dante stream from shure will do in a 96Khz environment. Forgive my ignorance.

    Scenario:

Let’s say we have dm64 with dante card.
1-64 input channels are for F.O.H.
65-128 split channels with gain tracking/trim are for monitor world.

Band has Aviom system fed via Dante. They need pre-fader feeds from channels 65-128.
In that scenario I cannot get direct outs post-preamp for multitrack recording from the same console.

Actually this is the scenario I don’t know what to do with a digico board in my hand.
There is a MADI to DANTE converter(focusrite REDnet6). MAdi stream becomes dante. But Aviom needs pre-fader feeds for obvious reason.
Maybe there is a simple solution I keep missing. I’m open to suggestions.

The reason band uses Digico is the waves integration with soundgrid server.
Well, since DM64 can gladly accept 3x expansion cards, I can insert a M-waves and dante cards to take care of waves and aviom requirements.

    But beyond that I’m lost.
    -dante to feed aviom(pre-fader)
-waves for insert FX to input channels & usual AUX(send/return) FXs
-record from direct outs of ???

Is there any configuration that can accomplish these 3 items at the same time with only 1 console?

    Thank you.

User installable UAD card would be triple awesome. But 1st of the all, I’m not sure if UAD2 PCIe cards have low enough latency for going live. I have one in the desktop, realtime tracking with plugins is not practical. This is the reason they imposed the new external series.

Ditch the custom FX and go for Waves Soundgrid so we can plug in our own, or guest engineers can bring their own / presets.

No please not….no Waves inside my mixing console please
A UAD Card would be a better solution but I guess it’s not possible yet.
