In fact it would wonderfully to have global overview, say all inputs and all mixes displaying dynamics and a level meter.
There are some much lesser systems out there that do this.
I virtually never use the meter screen due to it only displaying 16 Chanel’s max.
It’s just not enough. I’m constantly switching between user screens or from inputs1-16, then17-32J

I’m not expecting fully interchangeable components, but I would hope it would be possible to exchange signals between the two systems without going analog.Jim[}]

The new System is an total new system, not compatible with Ilive. Runs another protocol for digital audio also.
The processing is in the mixing desk, the Stage rack is just for converting analog to digital.
No editor, but an IPad App planned or already finished – i don`t know.
8 FX engines, same preamps as in the mixracks. So, we are looking at a complete new System that has nothing to do with our ILives and is designed to compete with LS9 and so on.
As i have been told also USB Recording and Playback is not possible with the ILives cause there are problems with the Linux used.
As i have to say – nothing comes from A&H directly – but from an good informed person – so we could be 100% clear @ NAMM.

That is unforgivable A&H if it’s true, how could you justify that?
Why?

Airport express router2011/12/22 at 3:44 am #29399If its not fully compatible out of the box, then it should be with an expansion card option.
We may find the next software update gives us a few extras. How can A&H justify not giving us USB recording when a cheaper model has it.
That 8 in 4 out 1U rack module would be very handy indeed.R72 & IDR32

Airport express router2011/11/29 at 5:23 am #29058Hi Rui, are you in a hot and humid environment?
Apparently it is a contributing factor with the power supply failur thing.I have talked to my local supplier in Sydney, they seem to think it’s not a problem for us here.
I’m not convinced!Jim

Airport express router2011/11/28 at 7:49 am #29050Hi Tyler, that’s an interesting way to make things work.
Are you using the MacBook in your gear list to do it – is it actually a pc?I have a MacBook too and might give it a go if there is software a vailable.
I have found mixpad to be unreliable too. It drops out so I loose control of gain, Eq and compression on the channels but the master faders still work.
Pretty annoying when you can’t tell if you have control or not unless you make a big change!Jim[8D]

Airport express router2011/11/19 at 12:59 am #29027It would be great if there was a better prompt when the iPad has lost the wifi connection. It’s possible to think you are mixing the audio when you are not.
Editor is great for this you are in no doubt.
I know the meters don’t work but it’s possible to not notice when no audio is passing during set up.
Yea more custom layers would be great, user key buttons too.All in all a great ap and value for money too.

Does anyone know if A&H are working on v2 software which brings all the networked audio many of us have been dreaming about? One mix rack, dual surfaces, 3 or more mix racks, and many other advanced usability and functionality enhancements.Current stock:

4x Dante Cards, 1x xDR-16Strueth mate, you got a bit of gear. Where in Aus are you?

2011/11/05 at 4:58 am #30032Yea, I would find an automixer useful too.
But realistically can’t see it happening. Especially with the way the inputs are grouped in boards of 8.
I’m thinking it’s a bit like the side chain issue, where the key controller signal has to be
In the same group of 8 channels.
Am I wrong?

I have since used more than 24 mic pre s in a gig though, so it did save my arse in the end. ( read ‘Butt’ instead of arse if you are confused)R72 & IDR32

Please include the spectrum analyzer in that. Not just the normal meters.
