The whole scene screen process needs a re-think, apart from the above. Reverting to the last scene you were in before power off should be automatic at power up, after all, thats where the settings are at. And please make the current / next bar make sense!

also, when you boot up the mixer, instead of the last scene you were working on being highlighted, current scene is Blank with next being scene number 1. This is wrong to me, as the settings are where you left them before you switched off, but the scene page should reflect where you are…please sort A&H

I agree with stonepiano that the whole scene / recall / soft keys should be simplified and made clearer in future firmware updates

I would add that for some reason when I play back a multitrack recording from Cubase into Qu-16 via USB B streaming, the playback sounds about 15bpm faster than original recording. Checked settings and not set as externally clocked or anything, any ideas how to rectify this?

Thankyou for the response, the eight tracks thing explains a lot! I’ll probably spend the £40 to upgrade to the full version as I’m just getting used to using cubase, albeit the routing functions are rather confusing to me…

I have the free version of cubase (LE AI 7) that came with an audio interface, anyone know if this will work as a DAW with the Qu-16? Also, do I have to download the DAW software to use with my mac?

its worth it to me to have a vocal take to play around with and get that sounding right in the mains and mons without the band there fiddling with their guitar amps. (there’s always one who wants to fiddle when you’re PLAINLY trying to check the vocals – STFU!)

Thanks for that Bob, not much chance of the band buying me a drink! I have a 16gb sandisk stick which I’ve been using for the firmware updates, will that be enough to record a song or two in multitrack? I’ve also got a 500gb Samsung external drive for the purpose of recording a show which will obviously be better but if the stick will work I’ll give it a whirl?

and while we’re on the subject, at power up current scene is BLANK and next scene goes all the way back to scene 01 – why not the last scene you were working on??

Yes but whats the point of having 2 scene names the same next to each other in the toolbar? It should be name of current scene (left) followed by name of next scene (right)
There’s even room in the toolbar to show previous scene !

I may have to keep my 01v96 for the next theatre show, I had 30 scenes to go through the last time, can’t see me trying that with the qu-16, too clunky! I appreciate you can assign the soft keys to auto increment but I need to see what’s coming up next in a fast scene change, no time to switch to scene view and use the touchscreen
