Please feel free to explain this further. I own 2 X Yamaha MXR400 & 1 x Yamaha MXR800W with a total output of 1.6kw.<em/>
CK… There’s your problem (assuming you mean MSR and not MXR which seems to be a trail bike?)
From the Yamaha website…The MSR400 employs a two-way bi-amplified system in which the low-frequency and high-frequency drivers have their own dedicated amplifiers. The 12-inch cone type woofer and the 1.75-inch high-frequency horn driver deliver total output power of up to 400 watts (LF: 300 watts, HF: 100 watts burst; 300 watts continuous total).
If this is a rock band, then you need more ‘rig for the gig’ and having that extra headroom will help with the feedback issues. If you can afford for the band to all be on in-ears, why scrimp on the PA?
2015/04/26 at 12:27 pm #47476it works, no need for Qupad update
2015/04/19 at 11:17 am #47139There’s only one guitarist and he plays both rhythm and lead, lots of twiddly solo bits in-between the lead vocal lines, so the ducker was keeping his level down underneath the lead vocals and a fast release brought him back up when the singer backed off the mic
2015/04/19 at 9:36 am #47135Tried the ducking feature last night and it worked a treat with the rock trio I was engineering for, just had it on the guitar ducked by the lead vocal. Normally I have to ride the guitar fader a lot with this band but the ducker made it a lot easier once I’d got the settings dialled in…
Also loving the PEQ Q width slider on the Qu-pad app !2015/04/13 at 7:46 pm #46887Looks like you still have the lights working but no screen, I had nothing lighting up, just the power LED on the rear.
Since I did the hard reset yesterday and reinstalled 1.7 I’m happy to report the desk is booting up as normal so far, it’s been switched on/off at least a dozen times since.
I can give you a contact email at tech support if you would like? They usually respond same day2015/04/12 at 7:35 pm #46828possibly, just done a hard reset and re-installed 1.7 to see if that cures it, should be able to tell over the next week
2015/04/12 at 12:38 pm #46817Not tried iPad access, though I doubt it will work as there are no other lights on the desk apart from the power indicator, seems like the desk isn’t booting up properly? will try the iPad next time it occurs
2015/04/04 at 9:21 pm #46566I would like this too!
2015/01/05 at 9:15 am #44322hold the reset button whilst pressing the PEQ button in the super-strip, although this will reset ALL bands on the channel to zero
2015/01/04 at 10:26 pm #44310Many thanks for the explanation 🙂
2015/01/04 at 9:49 pm #44306I want to multitrack record on Q16
the options I seem to have for tapping the channel source(s) are insert sends or direct outs
which one should I use?
thanks2014/11/13 at 8:27 pm #43060another vote for HPF on mixes here..
2014/11/12 at 11:05 am #43040Nicola,
1.6 firmware and cubase LE 7 (free version that came with my audio interface)
looking at the mix down page, there’s a ticked box that says ‘insert iXML chunk’…..I guess I should untick this then ?
file extensions are created as .wav (there is an option for wave 64 but its not selected)
2014/11/12 at 9:26 am #43024Well it works fine now after changing the sample rate and sticking to the file naming hierarchy
thanks again 🙂
2014/11/12 at 9:15 am #43022Bob, yep, you were right, was set to 44.1, will try again…does the filename still have to be QU-STnnn ?
cheers
