In my case it was resolved by A&H as a warranty repair. I think they replaced the motherboard. It took weeks/months. Fortunately the dealer who sold it to me had a spare GLD-80 that I borrowed. So I wasn’t pushing them too hard to resolve it. I’d hope it doesn’t normally take that long.

Our GLD-80 has been rock solid since we installed it in early 2013. A few weeks ago, I upgraded it to 1.5 and it’s ben fine…. Up until last Sunday when it crashed 3 times.

    Details are:

    Firmware 1.5
    Serial: GLD080-002088
    OS 3.01
    Drivers: 1.1
    DSP board driver: 1.3

I attach log files taken after the first two crashes.

I’ve put a ticket in to A&H support but nothig back yet. Any clues anyone? With the desk this unstable, I need a fix.

I’ve set ours up so that the OneMix user has almost no rights. They don’t need them because they are just adjusting their own levels. They could log on to the GLD-80 but wouldn’t get far. Far enough to make some surprising stuff happen, though, I guess.

I do think its odd that you have to pay for an ap that does less than the free one and wonder how long it will be before my OneMix users spot that. Don’t think they read this forum 😉

Thanks. I wondered about the latency. Those headphone amps might be the way to go then.

Could do that. That would solve it 😉 But my way is £400 cheaper, assuming that I have an iPad, which I do.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe we’ll just have to start recording the whole thing. We just record sermon and readings at the moment.

The soft key record start/stop would be lovely.

I know that training is a better answer, but sometimes in a church scenario, the system gets used by people who are never going to be sound engineers. A little bit of help for those folks would be useful.

Haven’t upgraded to 1.1 yet but from the release notes it looks like scenes work a lot better but not shows. If I set an account with no Show Manager privs then that user can’t overwrite shows but can’t recall them either. I’d like them to be able to recall a saved show but not overwrite it.

Great. I will try that. Does that work for shows as well as scenes?

    Thanks for the reply.

I’ve had a look at that. I can see how to stop them doing anything at all with shows (store, overwrite, recall) but not how to allow recall and disable the other functions. Am I missing something?
