it seems like this error is caused by a damaged(?) show file that is loaded when booting up the console. when you do a hard reset while booting it is still there, but disapears after another reboot. than you can even load the previous show and it works, but the error appears again after another restart if you keep the show loaded. if you just discard that showfile for good, the error is gone.
what was the issue in the end, jgrift? hard/software? i just got the same error message, i guess i will bring it in for repair tomorrow…
thats quite a dangerous error. happend during soundcheck. everything was up at max level suddenly without the faders moving and that was loud for a second…
why does your patching change regularly? that doesn’t make sense to me for a band where you want to use virtual soundcheck. you would always have to set preamp gains exactly as they where the last time for vc to work.
i always keep the patching the same on bands im travelling with. then use tie lines to record. do not use direct outs to record for silent soundcheck purposes since the earliest DO-point is post phase switch and trim, with tie lines you get the pure preamp signal. then in my daw my input output paching is one to one, ie input 7 is output 7. on the sq i use 2 input libraries, one patched from slink and one from usb, while the usb is an exact mirror, ie if channel 7 is sourced from slink 7, for sc it is usb 7.

Direct out and tie lines are always separate, direct out settings do not influence tie lines. tie line is the pure preamp signal, and is before the first possible direct out point which is post polarity and trim, as well as width on stereo channels.

awesome!! the dyntrio as deep would have been nice, but all in all a great update!! finally mono matrix!
yes, every gate with that fast attack times does that
try to rename it to *.wav and see if its playable. sometimes that works with corrupted files
the radial j33 di has a riaa preamp integrated. i think that would be the most elegant way.
thats a good question!
you wouldnt need a router, you could use a direct connection and set the ip adresses manually.
thx, that is good to know! especially for silent soundchecks, because then i have to phaseflip the inverted channels in my daw again for it to work correctly. i guess there’s no way to record directly after preamp gain and before phase inversion?
keith, will shows created in 1.2.2 still work on 1.3?
works just fine that way
oh yes! atm it’s always looking for a workaround when you come to a venue with i.e. mono subs, frontfills etc
yes, lpf on channels would be great, maybe make the hf band switchable between bell, shelf and lpf
