Agree, I kept recording and got 3 + 1 + 4 hours on 3 stop/starts. I wonder if this will be changed with so radical USB changes in 1.5?
2020/04/02 at 1:12 am #90677This is what I’ve heard too, so now I always run my SQ6 thru DX, but frankly didn’t bother to compare.
2020/03/30 at 9:14 pm #90609Well I don’t mind investing in SSD either, but if memory serves there is only one mentioned in the list of tested devices. If any.
2020/03/30 at 7:45 pm #90607But why? Generally speaking, IMHO flash drives are losing popularity to portable SSDs, NVMe and combinations with SD cards, hard disk are already dead.
SD card are faster, more reliable, etc. And technically what’s wrong in my adapter, so mixer doesn’t see it?2019/04/05 at 2:44 pm #83194Update – yes, that was a problem, work fine now. I’ve seen Stereo being mentioned before, bu dind’t expect it could fix “Unsupported format” problem. Thanks
2019/04/04 at 1:20 pm #83165Seamusic : Great , will try overnight
2019/04/03 at 6:56 pm #83140Update : received new unit today – works as should. Seems like A&H quality control needs some improvements.
Thanks to all.2019/04/02 at 4:31 pm #83108Thanks to all of you for good ideas, I just called Sweetwater tech support and they sending a replacement unit.
I still suspect there is something logically wrong with old unit – just can’t imagine A&H QA team let it pass with such a malfunction, but if new unit works fine I can forget it.
Thank you, folks2019/04/02 at 4:25 pm #83107Jay,
1) Your laptop is set for DHCP and acquiring an address, vs static?
Yes2) You are plugging into the network port, not the SLink port?
Yes, SLink is taken with AB2412 🙂3) You are looking for the IP address on the status page, not the network page. When the network page shows “DHCP” it never updates for an acquired address, that is always on the status page. (bit me the first time)
Yes, I’m checking this Diagnostics page with all unit’s states4) The DHCP advertisement is “consistent” – the IP/Netmask/Gateway all agree? I don’t know if the SQ validates it, but I could see it rejecting something that is inconsistent. You wouldn’t see this unless you tried to do WAN routing through your router. The XR18 has such a poor network implementation I wouldn’t trust it as a reference point.
Yes, I didn’t really touched the defaults, it’s on 192.168.1.1 subnet5) Set the console to a static address and see if your laptop can ping it.
That’s a good test, shame on I didn’t do it, thanks2019/04/02 at 4:09 pm #83106Yes, I don’t need DHCP, but DCHP allows me to check connection quickly without using tablet
And, BTW, unit never shows up in router wired connection list2019/04/01 at 2:33 am #83089I was hoping for that – nice try :(.
Just did more or less recent Netgear, no luck. When connected unit is not displayed in router wired connection list.
And , BTW, router is router – if device can’t be seen by router by wire and can’t acquire ip – something is broken, no matter how old router is.2019/03/21 at 1:29 pm #82858Exactly! My setup is perfectly matched with AR2412. Now with only 16 in DX168 I have to scratch my head which inputs (which wireless mics in my case) I have to relocate to local inputs to keep it the same. But all my antennas are on the stage, so it’s a real pain.
