    Are the DX 168 pres the same as the D-Live pres? I read a MI customer review that stated the DX168 pres were much better than the stock SQ5 pres. The claim was that his SQ5 sounded better when using the DX168 with out engaging the SQ pres.

    This is what I’ve heard too, so now I always run my SQ6 thru DX, but frankly didn’t bother to compare.

    Am music & sound provided the answer: The DX168 Has D-Live pres and conversion chips. When packaged with the world class FPGA processing that pretty much resolves the front end sonic quality questions some of us are deeply concerned about.
