as Proper Audio said, SC compression on fx returns is often useful

Customisable safes are useful everywhere but specially in theatre jobs, where SQ desks (compact, portable, good sounding mixers with flexible routing and layers managing) could be the gold standard.

We miss just few improvements: more per-scene safe options like DCA, more matrices (6 mono would be enough), expander on dynamics, scenes crossfade (90s yamaha 01V do that).

OK, I’d like to have also a better HUI workflow with PAN for Pro Tools, but this is another story… anyway I love my SQ!

The comments on the ‘Screen follows surface’ functionality (don’t follow HPF, do follow PEQ band selection) are on the list of things to consider for the future though so please do continue to let us know if this is something important to you.

It’s a very common and understandable complaint: all the fellow engineers I know who also work on SQ desks think so, we simply don’t understand how the current behavior can seem adequate or comfortable.

If I’m on EQ and tweaking the HPF, I want to stay on the EQ view: if not, why is the HPF curve showing there?

    Please stop that useless jump!

…another feature I miss comparing my beautiful and well sounding SQ7 to my old (and ugly) Yamaha 01v96! Please!

please guys add that simple option to these amazing mixers! “Follow main pan”, like ProTools… and like my old Yamaha 01!!! (“input pan link option” in that case…)

Getting Eq view while pushing one band is exatcly what I expected during first usage of the desk. Please do it!

Forced switching to HPF view, in particular, is non-sense!! As other users say no one wants that, having hpf in eq view… moreover changing this annoyng behaviour should be pretty easy

lot of people working in theatre, streaming and Live shows could pay for that feature! please scenes crosfade on SQ! – the very old and basic yamaha 01v (1st version, something like 1998?) has xfade!

some extra mono-matrix would be really welcome.

SQs are great desks at any stage, but nowadays, with streamings etc we all are Matrix-hungry – 3 stereo mtx are not enough… in case i’d gladly swap with a stereo aux 🙂

    +1 for scene crossfade! Please…

It’s a very useful feature, in theatre / dance shows 2-3 second often is way better than 0!

SQ line would be the best choice for a lot of mid size theatre companies with that option. But also in live-streaming events and festivals scene xfade would be great!

Thanks for your info about Mixrack.

Of course I know, an old-school analog splitter is a good option.

We already done that way with a rented one, buying it is still less expensive than an extra Giga Ace card… and I agree, that solution offers a complete separation that is always a plus.

We’ll probably solve it this way, too bad I find the cost of the card really too high!

    Thanks anyway
